Because this is completely overstated, especially compared to Vilardi.

He's fast and agile, he's just ugly.
Yep. He goes from A to B fine and can turn on a dime. They (Yanetti) were also pretty confident that as he gets stronger his skating would become less ugly.

It seems line 3 is where most of the young players are going to get their shots...as line 4 of Lizotte, Arty and Lemieux has an identity and is often the best line going. That's great, but also not Arthur's future. Hell, Lemieux may be best on line 2, (by next year) to see how what he can do. His talent is legit. Could be more of a force to create room and scoring chances for a higher line.

But back to line 3: seems they are using it for 2 youth and a veteran.; be it Kupari, Turcotte, Grundstrom, Andersson, Vilardi and soon to be Byfield. I get that is possibly the only slot, but it's detrimental in ways too, that line 3 can go 7-8 minutes without getting on the ice...or even 9-10, if there are a few penalties. It's a tough way to develop and build from shift to shift. Then again, it's not like one of them should be in the top 6, atm. Ordinarily, line 3 would get more shifts than line 4, but line 4 is killing it. Not venting, complaining, or suggesting change. Part of what makes this what it is, is line 4's play.

Then again, Turcotte, Grundstrom and Kupari have some excellent shifts and some excellent individual play, but it seems they have 15-20 seconds of cycling and pressure, make one play and then
their shift is over...or get one more zone entry. Then, off and sitting another 7-9 minutes. Ok, maybe I am venting. it's going to be hard to elevate to a bigger role, the way it is. Honestly, I would like to see
Kopi get to under 20 minutes of ice and Kupari would be good killing penalties. His speed, decent tenacity and skills could be used and give him more ice. Possibly Alex, in time. Kind of the way Kaliyev
gets some PP time, but is line 4 duty...so I guess I am suggesting increase roles of some of the younger players, even if it's the PK.

Today's practice lines with the covid issues

Kempe – Kopitar – Frk
Moore – Danault – Arvidsson
Andersson – Kupari – Brown
Lemieux – Lizotte – Kaliyev

Anderson – Doughty
Maatta – Roy
Bjornfot – Durzi
Moverare – Spence

Why the hell are the coyotes gonna trade Chycrun? They need to ensure they continue to be the only AHL team in the NHL?

I think he may have issued a soft trade request. Given that he's a UFA by the time AZ's top picks start to hit their stride, the Coyotes may try for a sell high approach.

The risk is that one stellar season may be an outlier.

That 3rd line looks rough. I assume they'll actually be the 4th line.

Frk is a finisher. It's not just that he has a zillion mile per hour shot, he also has a nose for the net and can touch pucks into the net.

Will it translate to the NHL? I don't know but we've seen flashes of it from him before at this level.

This is probably his last chance. He'll never get another opportunity better than this.

Was a nice interview, Blake was pretty transparent, nothing hardcore fans don't necessarily already know, but still a good pod.

I did like what they said re: Grans towards the end, with how his development was mapped out down to even having a few days off to work with the skills coaches since he missed camp, but a lot of their plans went out the window with the staffing situations--but it was a nice window into how things are individualized.

I would've rather seen:

Brown-JAD-Kupari

I pretty much have lost hope in Andersson. Kupari is a winger.

Just like Frk, it's probably one of Andersson's last shots to take the ball and run , not real surprised to see him back in there. That line will at least go hard to the net provided they can get the puck in the zone. It'll be interesting to see what Brown's energy looks like should he stay on the 3rd line, as well.

I have watched Frk a lot in AHL this year and I am not crazy about his hockey IQ...
