IIRC--and I know we have a few on this board that can correct me-- Finnish athletes usually do this at 18-19 in the Summers and kinda like how NHLers finish college one class at a time since they have some sort of exemption. Is that correct? I'm more surprised Korpisalo made it this far without it...

As a Kings fan, not a fantasy fan.. you don’t make that trade.. Especially not when the off-season market is going to include names like
Sergachev… Salary cap reason, Dman vs Depth

Provorov… they’re going to blow it up
Girard… if the Avs choke again
And the surprise guy.. maybe we get our version of Graves or Toews
Edit: He would look good on our team but I see this going the Eichel route… he’s moving out East and the return is going to be ok..

3. You think the Kings would trade Arvidsson after trading for him? That is way too much before Arvidsson.
We will see if the Yotes even move him (I doubt they will), and if they do we will see what the return is. At that point I will voice whether I think Blake should have paid that price or more. One thing though if he is moved I don't think Arizona can be picky enough to send him out East, they need best return regardless of location.

Chychrun hasn't been very good this season. He's only really had one great season.
He'll be a UFA when his current deal ends.

LOL This is the Eichel thread all over again. Ridiculous overpayments.

They aren’t getting that and what they do get will be somewhat underwhelming..
He has started to play better this year, but yes has an ugly minus. Also the Coyotes are pretty f'n bad this year compared to last.

The trade proposal was the same stuff people had for Eichel.. and I said then it was unrealistic and if you look at their board they start their deals with Byfield, Clarke and a 1st.. Yotes fans are as dumb as their management..
I also mentioned the East because other than the Kings and Ducks, no one out west has the assets to acquire him.. The Rangers out East do…
That's 4 first round picks, including 2 (likely more) lottery picks (a 2nd overall and an 8th overall). Eichel got a 1st rounder in Krebs (drafted lower than both Byfield and Clarke), a middle six player, and a lottery protected 1st. I get that he had the neck injury, but this seems much higher than that return.
Not to mention - Eichel is way more proven than Chychrun.
Chychrun is also having a terrible season. I want the Kings to get him nevertheless, but that price is way too high imo. You could point to the Coyotes being bad depressing his numbers, but go ahead and look at Gostisbehere's.
Also, Arvidsson is not a salary dump and I don't think the Kings should lose him. He himself is worth the 2 draft picks he was traded for.

If he's not going to play, the easiest, safest, and cheapest move is sending him back down. He's not going out the door yet.

Unless the Coyotes simply don't want to trade with the Kings, they're not going to ask for all that. Not without a knowing chuckle anyway.
The ask is always the same, it’s pretty predictable… give it another two weeks and you’ll hear murmurs about how they’re asking for the equivalent of four 1st.., it’s Eichel all over again
The ask was a jab at the Eichel rumors..
I don’t see Blake offering more than a 1st, Vilardi, Kupari/JAD/Madden and one of Roy/Walker..
with the likelihood Clarke makes the team next year and Walker returning and Durzi improving with have too many Dman.. a good thing of course but also why we should wait til the off-season to make a move
difference is the Sabers had to move Eichel. This sounds more like Arizona testing the market to see if moving him is worthwhile or note
I would do that if the first was top 3 protected. Be a nice haul for Arizona too. Vilardi, Kupari, walker and fist!!

Chychrun is the only good player on the worst team in the league. He would look significantly better playing next to Doughty.
There are other differences as well:
Eichel carries a $50 million commitment; Chychrun is $13.8 million
Eichel needed neck surgery and was demanding "his" version of the surgery; Chychrun is healthy
Arizona will get full price for him no doubt.
20% of Arizona's wins have come against us. Food for thought.
