I've said absolutely f*** all about playoffs or our standing in the division. If that's the conclusion you've drawn from my posts you've severely missed the point or are being intentionally obtuse.

you're saying that kopitar is getting older (GETTING)
i would bet he can still carry the team this year
you're saying LA added Danault to help kopi as he's not getting any younger
therefore, this move is a long term move to help ease kopitar's transition role while our young players gain experience as well

correct or am i being obtuse?

Together we'll make through FA.

Read Blake’s comments.

Byfield will be in the AHL - he is only 18.

I like you Johnny, and you've been beating that drum, but the only reason that happens is because the out-of-nowhere AHL agreement. There was a less than 1% chance he was going back to the OHL.

I think we see the prized prospects start the year in Ontario short of blowing the doors off of training camp. Go down there, kill it and make your way into the lineup.

Kings made the right moves this offseason to get better though goal scoring is still in question.
Do we assume that 3 of Lemieux, Lizotte, Grunstrom, Wagner and Frk will be traded or waived?
And all of Kupari, Byfield, Turcotte and Kaliyev start in the minors?
And on defense if Maatta stays then Clague and Strand get waived and start in the minors? Or does Bjornfot go to the minors and Clague stays up?
Still a lot to sort through but the team is shaping up and it will not be a lottery roster.

You bring it up in your first point but it is nice that yesterday there was so much "how can they add a forward" and now that Blake added a good one, most everyone is like "who cares" which is the right mindset.

There will be healthy scratches and injuries. There might be someone on an NHL contract that goes to Ontario if they clear waivers. Probably not Lemieux since his contract is the largest but...maybe? It really doesn't matter.

Now, the Edler addition and what happens with the waiver-eligible defenseman is much more interesting to me.

I provided SH TOI/G for Kings forwards.

I provided faceoff deployments demonstrating MTL's reliance on Danault in the d-zone.

I expressed that the Danault signing provides an element to our lineup that only the 33 year old Kopitar possesses and will take years for our 21, 20, and 18 year old highly touted offensive prospects to develop before they're capable of shouldering the load.

That's all. I've said nothing about playoffs. Nothing about my expectations for the team this year.

So yes, your conclusion of "you're saying we won't make playoffs" is being obtuse.

Danault is a bad guy, a very bad guy. You don’t understand, I understand because I’m smarter and I have the numbers to show you, but I won’t show you. You listen to the fake news Canadian media on this but they are lying to you.

I understand I’m a very smart guy, you guys just don’t understand. Blake and his cult are leading you all astray and I’m the only one who understands.

Paraphrasing.

Again, it seems like you're saying that we got Danault to help out Kopitar. As if we predicted that this is the season where Kopitar will decline and thus we split the tasks up and this new Kopi-Danault merger is equivalent to Kopitar prime.

If this is the case, that means Blake's goal for this season, at least, is to not make the playoffs. His transaction was to maintain pace, not to improve.

This is how i'm reading your comment

i guess i'm dumb, sorry about that

really not being obtuse, as the same three minions have stated multiple times, i am one brain cell away of wearing a medical bracelet

I remember that the minions never stopped pouncing on me for criticizing Quick's poor play.... but RP, Squirts, and Conan OBrien kept destroying me every time i would bring it up

but now it has become common knowledge that Quick is a shell of his former self. I'm just saying that even medical bracelet wearing morons can put these minions in their place ;)

we will regret the Danault contract

the danault signing hinges on what they do with turcotte/vilardi/byfield. moving them to wing would be a waste, if they are moved for a top pairing dman im ok with the signing.
