Is Roy going to play the first powerplay unit though?
Yes, he does have a heavy shot and will undoubtedly feel more comfortable shortly.

He has been a shadow of himself since his concussion, so hopefully the added minutes and pressure will help him dial it back in.

Thought so sire. And thank you for the answer. And the insight. The LA forum has to me, been one of the knower ones. All those stanley cup wins etc add to human beings. This organization knows what to do. And respect it. Hard.

With how defensemen are getting paid, that probably won't happen

Yep. You almost have to hope they are mediocre during their ELC, sign a 4 year bridge deal for $3mil/year, then turn into Makar in year one of that bridge deal. :-)

Reilly ain't going to hit the block. Dubas is going down with the ship before he starts trading pieces away. His job is on the line.

When Andersson comes off SOIR, which waiver-exempt player do the Kings send down first?

1) Kaliyev
2) Kupari
3) Tkachev

When Athanasiou follows, another will fall too.

4) send Lizotte down and pray he's claimed

and then scratch Trevor Moore for a game, when AA returns. Moore has not been nearly as good as he was last year and pretty ineffective. 0 pts 6 games, for that matter.

I've always been in favor of tanking this season away. There was no moves the Kings could've made in the offseason to turn this team into a contender. Adding Arvidsson and Danault were black hole moves.

Now that the season is likely lost, we can focus on what we should've been doing all along; tanking and development.

We're not going to beat Arizona in the tankathon, but we have a good chance at getting the 2nd best lottery odds.

In the offseason draft one of Wright/Miroshnichenko/Lambert/Savoie/Nemec. Fire Todd. Consider firing management and start anew in 2022-23.

I said it at the time, I was shocked how many people were in favor of what the Kings did this summer.

The Kings needed a shot at another impact young player, picking top 5 will give the Kings a chance to hit another homerun.

Yeah, it was an interesting offseason. Arvy was kind of a hefty price to pay for a player coming off of a few down seasons due to injuries, add to that he is going to turn 29 this season. Danault took up the rest of the free cap space and was not exactly a scoring dynamo. He is also about to be 29. I know he is a defensive wizard, but this is a team that is bottom 3 in the league in GF since TMac became the coach. I typically try to be optimistic, but the moves don't make a lot of sense.

It looks a lot worse with the early results, it seems that Blake traded two seconds and 10 million in cap space for a couple forwards that are about to be 30 and the team is performing worse than before. I still think Kopi and Doughty were worth there contracts even as they get older, but adding more veterans with production questions seems to be the wrong move so far.

So now what? we lost 2 dmen on the trip, one for the season and one for 8 weeks. There is no way this team can survive with what's left. Edlars the only guy with any real experience.

I'm surprised people here are not upset with Perron. You can see he squeezes his legs to hold/tackle Walker. To me that's a dirty play. Where the hit on Doughty was not dirty just unfortunate.

Disagree on the hit. I thought it was reckless and after he missed the hit, making contact with his knee as he changed his angle . It's funny, you attempt that hit, miss and make head contact, and its a 3 game suspension. Do the same, take out a knee, injure a player and its not even reviewed.
