Doughty being out 8 weeks is going to kill the season. If it was any other player you could have the players all take up the slack, but no one can do that for Doughty. You just can't replace him.

January for Doughty, next year for Walker. It's rough. In terms of starts to a season, you can't get much worse than what's happened. The losses on top of the injuries.

Best move Blake can make is doing nothing until the deadline, since this year is all but done, outside of a guy or two actually stepping up. This forces TM to not lean on Doughty though.

Very unlikely Brown will be moved, we'll have to see if the Kings want to extend Brown or he wants extension.
Kempe could be trade bait. He just never reaches his potential, but has some attributes a playoff bound team may want.
Almost zero chance Arvidsson is traded.
Lizotte is NHL fodder.
Tkachev hasn't proven anything. No market,
AA could be a deadline player on the move.
Edler has an NMC.

I've always been in favor of tanking this season away. There was no moves the Kings could've made in the offseason to turn this team into a contender. Adding Arvidsson and Danault were black hole moves.

Now that the season is likely lost, we can focus on what we should've been doing all along; tanking and development.

We're not going to beat Arizona in the tankathon, but we have a good chance at getting the 2nd best lottery odds.

In the offseason draft one of Wright/Miroshnichenko/Lambert/Savoie/Nemec. Fire Todd. Consider firing management and start anew in 2022-23.
