Ristolainen is Euro. Can he play the left side? Anyone have his WAR chart?

I got your back.

Johnson obviously won't be nabbed by Seattle so that means they will def. lose a good forward.

If they can re-sign Landeskog to a decent contract and not lose Graves then they would be in good shape heading into free agency.

They will lose a good forward( and his cap) they will probably have enough $$$ to re-sign Saad. Bad news for us.

I take it you haven't seen the general HF view of Drew Doughty.

Core piece to 2 Stanley Cups and 3 straight WCF appearances. Norris winner and nominated multiple times. Arguably Team Canada’s best defenseman and multiple gold medals. Picked as a top 4 defenseman the last couple years in the NHL player survey. On pace last season for 50 points. Future HHOF member. But of course the main board intellectuals know better than actual NHL players and hardware. I’m sure there’s some random prospect currently in some teams system that’s projected to be better already. It’s a skill to know so little and be so confident about it.

It's funny I had to remind myself that for every high priced player Seattle takes that gives that team some cap breathing room.

If there was ever a good time to for LA to ice a crappy team with a crummy roster and a ton of good prospects not counted towards the expansion it's this year. lol

On WGR550 (Buffalo Radio). Ristolainen is a constant punching bag and has been for years. They can't wait to get rid of him.

Kings fans love to dumpster dive more than Dave Taylor. The Kings should also offer Corey Perry a one-year, $11 million contract while they’re at it, because why not?

Trying to find a way to entice a player to willingly come here. Term is death, unless you push for a 2nd, maybe 3rd year, and a 3rd year is really pushing it. Can't offer a ready made shot at winning on a league minimum contract for 1 year. The only weapon the Kings have is short term cap space.

That would be Blake’s last act as a GM. I wouldn’t mind Suter for a year or two, but it would be a lot less than that - something like 2x $3m, He’s not coming out here and wasting his last opportunity to win a Cup.
I would be o.k. with something in between.

2 years @ 5.5M

Want to see LA make a serious pitch for G Landeskog! It would be ballesy...8 years at 10 Million! Then we would finally have a first line player to go Kopi

How about Nate Schmidt for a bag of pucks? Dude can play but isn't worth his contract so he has negative value. We have plenty of cap room and he can slot in on the left side.

Not sure he’s worth it - his play has fallen off a cliff. Kings need to be judicious with who they target at LD imo (just like they were with Arvidsson)

Would love to snag Couturier or a legit #2 left defender. Just right now need to fill out the team, hopefully on the cheap.

Get Maatta pushed down to the 7th defender. Find a solid Brown replacement for when his contract is up. Don't want to give up high picks or meaningful assets for bridge players.

Risto interests me. Doughty had terrible numbers logging huge minutes on a bad team. Would be curious to see how Risto does away from Buffalo. Not curious enough to throw down a huge offer because he could be the second coming of Phaneuf.

Give Landeskog 7X8mil and then move Kempe and the #8overall and a prospect(a.Thomas, Fagemo) for a #2 defenseman…

Landeskog-Kopitar-Brown
Iafallo-Byfield-Arvidsson
Moore-JAD-Vilardi
Tkachov/MacD/Wagner-Lizotte-Grundstrom

Kaliyev and Turcotte called up during season

Anderson-Doughty
Werenski-Roy
Bjornfot-Walker
Strand

Lombardi was really good (and lucky) at finding talented players on a temporary downswing with diminished value. Williams, Mitchell, Gaborik, even Carter. All players who had historically low value at the time Dean traded for/signed them.

Blake is going to need to hit on a player like that to accelerate the rebuild.
