It's likely just as delusional as this board.I take it you haven't seen the general HF view of Drew Doughty.

He and Parise just got fat checks. Players of their caliber who haven't won yet can afford to take short term small cash deals with contenders to chase the Cup.fully agree, but one thing in LA's favor is the flat cap and not alot of teams with cap space.

That’s an odd response given that you seem to agree with most here in saying that it’s nowhere near one of the worst in the league. I’d say most on this board agree with that and aren’t delusional about it.
I've read pretty much nothing but complaints about Doughty and his contract on here. I find it amusing at all the hate on Doughty's contract yet people want to sign Suter and he's about the same age as when DD's contract ends.
no to suter unless he signs for 1-2 years at 3-4 million.
I'd go the third year to land Suter. The thought of him playing next to Doughty is pretty exciting. I don't think it's gonna take a lot of money to sign him, given he's getting PAID by Minny for not playing for them. It'll depend on how he feels about playing for an up-and-coming team, and playing in LA.
He'd be our Scuderi (without the cup)I'd do 3 years/3 million per. He won't be fancy, but a Suter/Doughty pairing would be very solid. I could see him putting up 30-40 points alongside Doughty. Money is no issue for the next couple years and he'd be a good mentor to the younger guys like Bjornfoot and Anderson. The games I saw this year especially against Vegas in round 1 I thought he looked solid, again nothing fancy, but he played solid.

I still think that he and Parise will cup chase and end up in Colorado, NYI, or a team like that .
i mean, a stay at home D is very different from a winger when it comes to age regression, suter appears to still have a season or two in himEverybody bitches about Brown, bitched about Carter, but now we want Suter?
Brown, Carter and Suter were drafted in 2003, and all turn 37 this season.
Who is this Carter you speak of? Carter Heart? Hutton? Verhaeghe? Rowney?Everybody bitches about Brown, bitched about Carter, but now we want Suter?

He was bought out for a reason.i mean, a stay at home D is very different from a winger when it comes to age regression, suter appears to still have a season or two in him
i'm not gonna say that i think it's a good idea, but it's not the same
15 million over 2 years for Suter. That's a lot of money considering he's getting his 7.5 from the Wild. Still doubt he wants to go to LA. He will go to Boston or Chicago.
I take that back. He’s not getting paid much by Minny; it’s his cap hit that’s enormous. Real dolllars it’s $833,333 per season for the next 8 years.I'd go the third year to land Suter. Those buyouts have gotta be for the cash savings. The cap hit saved is negligible.
the team that just bought two guys today could use a center.
I think there would be a market for Stamkos, just not sure where he would waive to go. If vegas is in on eichel and can somehow make that cap work, than I have to think they would be in on Stamkos.
The Kings landed Scuderi and Mitchell even though they weren’t contenders at the time. They did it by giving them an extra year that other teams wouldn’t. I wouldn’t count the Kings out if Blake offered three years. Ryan Suter is an absolute rock. Maybe not as much offense any more, but he would be a great addition to the back end.

i'd buy an old expensive defenseman out too if i was in a position where i'm probably gonna have to shell near 8 figures out for someone as talented as kaprizov tooHe was bought out for a reason.
Also, your characterization of him as a stay at home dman is incorrect.
it's a speech habit that carries over into my typing, i also don't capitalize or punctuate correctly and sometimes repeat myself.. sorry if you don't like it, it's not gonna changeWhat DO you mean???
