I just don't want to trade a bunch of really good prospects for a player who might not sign here. Didn't the Lucic trade teach us anything? Or the Toffoli trade to Vancouver...? Vancouver walked away with nothing after that.

But we def. need help on the left side. That's a given.

Also worth noting Seth Jones can't sign an extension until July 28th.

Werenski is RFA after the contract ends. Have an extra year to sell him on LA. Plus that bit of news about Detroit was more speculation then a rumor. I would have to do a bunch of back reading to remember which analyst brought up the Detroit rumor/ speculation

I have not fully read the rumor only keep reading from red wing fans that he wants to be there in any thread that brings up his name. If he was open to a extension then yes hes a great target but we need to learn from the Lucic trade to not spend assets for only a year of his play

is it, though? So much freaking smoke coming out of CBJ these days I'd have a hard time taking that kind of risk.

It may be speculation but he is best friends with Dylan Larkin, captain and centrepiece of the Detroit lineup. I only trade for Werenski if its a sign & trade.

Dahlin could be an excellent target out of Buffalo. Could pair him with DD and let him grow. His upside is to the moon.

The more I look over the roster for now and the future, I think Kempe is an interesting piece that I havent seen often in the trade rumours but would certainly be a guy Id be open to putting in a package for a bigger trade.

Failing any trade scenarios, I would be open to LA signing a guy like Ryan Murray for LHD. Maybe not sexy and appealing but has pedigree, could play top minutes with DD.

The Kings have stated more than once they are looking for Bjornfot to improve on offense and that he has the capacity. He was a rookie last year and seems to have the mindset (rightly) that defense comes first, but he has the potential to do more offensively as his experience and confidence grow. I mean, what he was for 33 games as a rookie shouldn't transfix his potential in stone.

I still don’t see Sergachev as an option. Tampa will find ways to deal picks and prospects to ditch cap rather than young signed Dmen which are hard to find.

Cernak and Sergachev stay in Tampa. Build future of those 2 plus Hedman.

Werenski sure, feels like Columbus is imploding at the moment.

There's no contract the Kings could offer that Buffalo wouldn't match. They're not up against the cap. They're about to get rid of $10m. If you want Dahlin, just trade for him.

It is as realistic as getting him in a trade Give me one reason Buffalo would give him up in a trade other then a massive overpay ? Dahlin is a pipedream fantasy for the King to acquire. If Buffalo's owners don't want to pay out 10 million a year to him in down years both in play and in attendance they may opt to go cheap Yes that is a long shot but it is still possible,

There's a reason offer sheets don't happen often, and why of those that do happen, they don't work out for the team offering the contract. It's an avenue of talent acquisition that isn't really worth thinking about.
