What a strange career for Quincey, really broke out here then basically just hung on for a long time. He's "only" 35, could still be playing, most recently played in Finland.

If memory serves correctly he suffered from back issues once he went to Colorado.

One thing I remember most about Quincey and his time in LA was his ability to get shots to the net.

I remember that! We all kept saying he must’ve learned from Lidstrom.

If the news is we are aquiring another forwa
I keep bringing up Mike Reilly as a UFA target for the Kings, but no one seems to have any interest.

Did you know Reilly had the 8th highest 5v5 Points Per 60min in the NHL among all Dmen?

And he did it while having lower offensive zone starts than anyone above him.

Reilly is a 27 year old LHD that can move the puck. Sound like something the Kings need?

Best CF% on both teams. Coincidence?

Reilly is on my list of under the radar LD UFAs .
Others include Jake McCabe, Ryan Murray, Jamie Oleksiak, Brandon Montour (Right shot but plays both sides)

Getting a big name D this year will need to come by trade. Hamilton and Barrie will be overpaid IMO.

I guess it’s not their fault right? They’re just podcasting and blogging and then Penner Pancakes happens and they’re putting the guy on the broadcast. Suddenly, fans and enthusiasts are getting press passes and you have one guy saying Jack Johnson should go to Edmonton and play forward, and the other guy getting pissy on Twitter when people call him out for being dead wrong on Iafallo (among several other things).

How the hell was he wrong on Iafallo ? He stated if Iafallo doesn't come down from his asking of $5 million he would be traded. Well duh he obviously did as he signed for 4 million. That is not getting things wrong. I love how u convently read only half of what he says and hes wrong yeah okay

Bro, I read a lot less than half of that drivel. He said it would take a miracle for Iafallo to not be traded. So he had bad info (again) but then he acts like a whiny twat when he gets called out.

The Hoven ball lickers sure are out in force lately.

I'd like to see these because the complete collection of tweets leading up to that topic doesn't really like up with my memory. Plus he came back and made excuses for being wrong. In essence he admitted he was wrong by conjuring excuses.

That's exactly what we have been saying.
But we shoot the messenger?

Quincy's best attribute with his shot from the point was he knew he could do some damage with a wrist shot.

When this is the case the sentence usually starts out, "You have to understand..."

I still bet we sign a 2C. Some under the radar targets I wouldn't mind signing:
- Mikael Granlund
- Phillip Danault
- Eric Staal
- Alex Galchenyuk

And on defense:
- Alec Martinez
- Mike Reilly
- Erik Gustafsson

Oh, and... Jack Johnson's available!

Actually, here are some free agents that used to play for LA:

Alec Martinez
Derek Forbort
Trevor Lewis
Tobias Rieder
Nate Thompson
Ben Hutton
Brad Richardson
Luke Schenn
Jack Johnson
Andy Andreoff

In case we wanted to get the gang back together.

Alec Martinez is an ideal fit for the LHD spot. I'm sure he'd be happy to come back, at an age where a 3 year contract in the 4m range gets it done. A known quantity without breaking the bank with term or dollars. By the time that contract ends we either have prospects ready to take his spot or our drafting has failed us.

Much rather him than paying big term and dollars to a late 20s ufa and hope that he doesn't regress

I’ll say it again, JVR+Ghost+1st …
Ghostbusters is about the best short term D the Kings can grab for the cheapest price, asset wise.

Think we'll see a 2 year short term forward to keep from tying up cap too long. Tarasenko, JVR, Monahan, Killorn. Comes down to which team wants to move salary for a cheap ask. TB may be giving away some other forwards as well.

Zucker & Drouin not as good as the first group. Should be plenty cheap.

Johnson (TB) 3 years @5, I'd want too much for TB to be intrested.

I don't deal in your memory I have enough issues with mine. There were a few tweets on the subject feel free to go back in Hoven's tweets to find them all. Most of the time he leaves a out in case things change on him. Thanks have a nice day.

Do I have to point out how ridiculous your opening sentence is when coupled with your closing sentence?

Saad's shooting percentage this year was 22.1%. His career average is 11%.

The 28 goal pace he scored at is not sustainable.

Whoever pays for him now will likely be overpaying after an outlier season.

Even if you take out this year, his career average is 24g per 82GP. Take out this year, and 15-16 when he had his only 30g season, his career average is 22g per 82GP. As long as it's a short contract, I'd be more than fine if they got Saad and he put in 20g. Especially if he can get some at ES.

He also took the fewest shots per game in his career this year. Why? On a deep team? Slowing down? Missed some games? Whatever it was, he averaged like a shot less per game than his career average.

Look it is not my problem that your going off on Hoven when you only are focusing on half a tweet. If you want to go back and read what was actually said and then get back to me with a corrected statement wonderful If not its your issue for stating wrong statement about Hoven. Yes he has been wrong plenty (my favorite time when he promised Dwight King would be traded at the deadline 3 years before he was(okay he was a deadline or two early)) and wasn't ) However with Iafallo he wasn't and doesn't deserve flack for it.
