It was Simmonds and Richardson first.Putting Kopitar with Lewis and King used to be Sutter’s go to move when Kopitar was in a slump.

It was more like Sutter saying, "You might want to get your ass off the boards and take the puck to the net."What better way to make Kopitar say, “Jesus, do I have to do everything around here?”

Seriously, is anyone attending training camp? I'd love to hear impressions of the team this year. How did Grundström and Durzi look?
Lisa Dillman seems to think Yawney is going to help Doughty return to form. As she gets to see what is going on behind the scenes more than we do, I trust it may happen. It will be up to Doughty.
Went to the event on Saturday. Was great to see the guys up close. The scrimmage was very up tempo, back and forth, limited checking, though there were some hits along the boards,Seriously, is anyone attending training camp? I'd love to hear impressions of the team this year.
How did Grundström and Durzi look?
Grundström has been looking as exactly as advertised and as he showed in his stint with the big club last season. Still, I could see him in the AHL for most of this year. It wouldn't be because he isn't NHL ready, but because the team might want him to play a big role with the group of players down there who should represent the next wave for us.
Durzi has looked fantastic, in my opinion. He weathered some physical hockey against Anaheim and San Jose in the rookie tournament and showed great decision-making with the puck. I believe he was paired with Bjornfot and Anderson mostly, and I could definitely see either combo being a future 2nd pairing for the Kings within 2-3 years.
Hellz yeahI'm going to the split squad game tomorrow at staples so I'll give a not-so-in-depth report.
It would be 10 times better for Tobias Bjornfot to play in SHL than the AHL where he will be battling for minutes. I'd rather see him play in the SHL and World Juniors and then perhaps make the jump to North America next season...Like to see the Kings do badly again so we can fetch and top 5 pick again and perhaps another first rounder and multiple seconds so we can shore up the RD position for the future...Jamie Drysdale ...Braden Schneider...I also think Lizotte and JAD have good shots, but also with Forbort probably not being ready, (LHD) Clague may make it, if he has a great camp and games. I know Ryan will have a good chance to be among the 6 with Forbort out.
I think Michael Anderson may have a shot as well. If he's in Ontario, fine, but think he's a fixture by next season. I know the 'plan' is to send Bjornfot back to Sweden, but wonder if there's a chance he plays in Ontario. May actually be better for him and the Kings, so he plays on the smaller ice and adapts quicker...OR is it arranged if he does not make the Kings, he MUST go back to Sweden? Either way, he will be here next year.
I think Grundstrom is on the team...unless he has a bad camp and games.
Thanks good to hear Grundstrom and in particular Durzi look impressive. I wouldn't be surprised if Durzi becomes the sleeper from this deal. He impressed me in the memorial cup, much better than I recall him play earlier, he may be a late bloomer, very intelligent player with offensive instincts. Think he will justify the Kings taking him over the at time erratic Lilegren in last year's Muzzin trade.Grundström has been looking as exactly as advertised and as he showed in his stint with the big club last season.
