It sounds like it is radio only, which is kind of a letdown. I watched the Flyers game yesterday and they had the full broadcast crew for the game.

shit really. I watched the flyers game and a bit of the Flames vs Canucks. Was hoping tonight's would be on NHL.TV

The Amadio line is going to tear shit up..
The Anderson-Strand pairing is on to keep an eye on

If Prokhorkin makes it, and so do Grundstrom and JAD, we have too many forwards. Do we trade Amadio, Lewis, Carter, or Toffoli before the season starts?

Iafallo - Kopitar - Brown
Grundstrom - Prokhorkin - Kovalchuk
Kempe - Anderson-Dolan - Wagner
Clifford - Carter - Toffoli
Lewis, Amadio

I guess? Who am I missing?

Toffoli will get every possible chance to succeed. He has to if anyone wants anything decent in return for him. He must score this season. To score, he must play. If Grundstrom gets more playing time than him, you can kiss any 1st/prospect at the deadline goodbye. Unless Grundstrom is scoring 40 goals, and is the top winger on the team while playing more than even Brown. Lewis is going to play his usual role, in the usual amount of games. Amadio has to play so they can see if he's an NHL player.

Getting rid of the old guys, and plugging in the young ones, is going to be a multi-year process. It's probably not going to start yet. Toffoli, Lewis, Clifford, and Forbort are all UFA's this year. Assuming they're not brought back, that's when spots really start to open up. Then the next year it's Kovalchuk, Iafallo, and Martinez. Then it's Brown and Carter.

Grundström has been looking as exactly as advertised and as he showed in his stint with the big club last season. Still, I could see him in the AHL for most of this year. It wouldn't be because he isn't NHL ready, but because the team might want him to play a big role with the group of players down there who should represent the next wave for us.

Durzi has looked fantastic, in my opinion. He weathered some physical hockey against Anaheim and San Jose in the rookie tournament and showed great decision-making with the puck. I believe he was paired with Bjornfot and Anderson mostly, and I could definitely see either combo being a future 2nd pairing for the Kings within 2-3 years.
Damn. That’s not what I like to hear (Leafs fan). I agree though. When both these players left our org they were well poised for top6 and top 4 roles, which is why I was especially pissed to lose Durzi who in a few years will be better than Muzzin/better than not having Muzzin at all because we can’t afford him.

FYI Dubas was going to give Durzi an ELC before we drafted him as a camp invite but didn’t because of the contract limit. He is on record saying this in the post draft interview.

Thanks for the update BringtheReign

LA's a joke when it comes to hockey. Maybe we'll get one or two games in the pre-season. Plus we're playing maybe the worst hockey market on the planet so yeah no one cares except for us die hards. Watching all the other games though. It's LA wouldn't expect it any other way.

LOL looks like we're in mid season form already. Down 1 nothing 18 seconds in. Gotta love it. I know I know it's Pre-season.

2-0 Yotes @ LA. Darryl said Quick overplayed the shot and got beat low, far side.

Gotta wonder if TMac makes the switch to Cal at the start of period 2 instead of half way through.

sorry if i missed these reports somewhere, but how have clague and prokhorkin been
playing in camp? much thanks!

The first round of cuts is incoming.

And here it is.

The LA Kings made their first round of training camp cuts, assigning Aidan Dudas (OHL-Owen Sound), Jacob Ingham (OHL-Kitchener), Arthur Kaliyev (OHL-Hamilton), Lukas Parik (WHL-Spokane) and Jordan Spence (QMJHL-Moncton) to their junior teams and releasing Billy Constantinou (OHL-Kingston) and Jonathan Yantsis (OHL-Kingston) from their ATOs.

How many fans are actually going to tune in for a early pre-season game? I think everyone who would have watched the game is either at the game or on this board. Why would a station pay the costs to get like a 0.01 Neilsen rating or whatever?

Well I would have to say it called trying to get new fans to the game of hockey. The chance that a new fan would watch on his computer for free may get them to watch more hockey in the future perhaps go to a real game. Also it would help to show the fans of ur team a reason to see regular season games. It would be a chance to see all the young players. It would not be done for rating but use to develop new fans . Just my 2 cents

Really looking forward to each one of those cut players to destroy their respective leagues this year.

Really surprised to see Constantinou not get a deal.

Well, nearly every other team had a broadcast or at least a stream. Didn't seem to be a problem for Anaheim who had a feed of their game yesterday.
