Watching the last game. Porks was on the same line as Luff, who honestly played like "road apples". Before judging the guy, I'd like to see him on a line with capable wings. Give him a game at 2C to see if he brings it. If he's outplayed by other guys, then so be it. Play the best players. The kids have come to play and aren't messing around. I have a feeling that on some nights, the suites will have more payroll than the bench. But probably not.

I am going to go with these 12 forwards for the opening night roster :

Kopitar
Brown
Iafallo
Kovy
Toffoli
A.Kemp
Carter
Clifford
Amadio
Lewis
Grundstrom (Waiver Exempt) If he struggles can be sent down
Wagner (Waiver Exempt) If he struggles can be sent down

2 Spares will come from this group, the rest will be sent down to the AHL and called up when roster spots are freed by trades or injuries.
Prokhorkin
Luff
M.Kempe
Frk
Lizotte (Waiver Exempt)
JAD (Waiver Exempt)

On Defense:

Doughty
Hutton
Martinez
Ryan
Roy (Waiver Exempt) If he struggles can be sent down
Walker (Waiver Exempt) If he struggles can be sent down

Extra:
LaDue
Forbort (IR)

Will be sent down to the AHL and called up when roster spots are freed by trades or injuries.
Anderson
Clague
MacD

Crazy to hear about Prokhorkin, I thought he would impress this year, Dobber even had him as a dark horse Calder candidate...

He has only played two preseason games so far(and one was a split squad game that nobody could watch for some ****ing reason), I think some on here are being a bit quick to judgement.
I couldn't agree more I think this forum for some reason wants to bash before looking at the whole set of circumstances as a rule.I think Prokhorkin needs to play with skilled players and if hes not given a shot with top 6 forwards it would be frustrating for him and hes gone and it won't look good for any foreign in the future

Still, it's a weird contrast from the beginning of camp when he was tearing it up (allegedly)...that in a game where everyone found ways to score Porkins was just kind of a body.

It seems like Toffoli had his nuts cut off after Josh Anderson checked him. He’s been a ***** ever since.

Toffoli is the athlete who got by on skill his entire hockey career. It takes more than skill to be great at the NHL level. As an outsider it looks to me like he lacks the work ethic, signed the one big deal and got real comfortable with how he trains, diets and plays the game.

He also doesn't have enough skill to get by. Pearson and Toffoli were looked at as being part of the future for this team, but they've both epitomized the problems this team has had with guys who got too comfortable with their roles here.

Well said . I haven’t seen him be given the opportunity for that 2nd C that’s a revolving door right now . He should be able to show what he’s got with skilled players . Might actually be our best option. This is the one year I honestly can’t tell anymore what our opening night roster will look like. There are to many possibilities. I have drawn out 4 diff scenarios and there’s more that can be drawn. Crazy .

Oh yeah? REMEMBER WHEN DAN CLOUTIER WAS GOING TO SAVE OUR FRANCHISE?

That behind the back save against colorado made up for the 2 fantastic seasons he gave us.
no one ever thought this. I think most were pissed that he was even acquired let along signed immediately.

Effin right.

Looking forward to Doughty-Bjornfot as well as those forward lines 2-5.

LA Kings center tryouts have officially begun.

Also not sure if it was noted in this thread but looks like Carter is officially a RW this year.

Lizotte has been a great surprise. I will be watching that line closely. As for Carter they were indicating that at the end of last year as well
