For how bad the Canes ice has been, the puck sure seems to be bouncing over a lot of sticks the first 5 min. of the 2nd in Boston.

It seems like eons ago that Columbus beat Tampa Bay. I just saw a story about them and it took a minute to register that they were still in the playoffs.

I always found "bad ice" to be one of the worst, lamest excuses...especially for some of the most skilled teams. Half these guys grew up playing either street hockey, on frozen lakes, or backwater ice rinks where the ice was far from perfect. Plus, BOTH teams play on the same ice. It's not like you "get used" to playing on it and are better as a result, otherwise shouldn't you be 10x better on good ice?

I would steer you over to the Caps boards where the "ice in PNC is the worst shit ever" and "wait until we get back to DC and that perfect sheet". It's like Joe Paterno use to say, "...it's raining on both sides of the field."

Andersen lets in two goals he really should have stopped. Looks like that might be the difference in this game as well.
