I dread playing Boston, but if there is a team that I think can beat them it's the 2019 Carolina Hurricanes.

Another team eliminated that is staring down the barrel of potentially massive changes this offseason.

Someday there will be a Canes/Jackets playoff series.

It won't be this year though.

Seeing as how they went all in this year, unless they land most of the top UFAs, it could be a few years to even get to the playoffs (they only have a 3rd and 7th this year, no 2nds the next 3 years, no 3rd next, might lose next years 1st pending the Duchene situation)

Bob is gone. There’s been some bad blood there. Planarian is gone. He just wants to be somewhere else. Duchene is a toss up, I think.

I think we match up pretty well with the B’s. Should be a fun series.

It’s going to be a tough matchup. It’ll be similar to the Capitals series, but Boston actually has their depth players producing, so that could be the main difference between the two series.

Luckily, it seems like some of the players that were struggling in the Caps series for us have started to find their game again, so it could even out overall.

Wasn’t that the start of Ward’s back problems? I know the pens were better than us on all fronts but iirc that’s when he started having trouble with his back and was the reason he was so ineffective in that series.
