If you're expecting 10 trades and calling anything less a half-measure, it might not be sanity governing your expectations.

I expect 2-3 and any more than that would be amazing.

We don't even have enough pro players under contract to handle 10 moves without some other filler or AHL prospects coming back our way. Love the kids but a lot of them really need to stay in Ontario.

I expect two to three trades and letting a free agent or two walk at the end of the year.

Its time for change and the youth movement to begin in earnest.

I mean I dont see them letting Toffoli, Lewis or Clifford walk for the forwards and same with Hutton and Forbort. Ryan I could see. Or do they keep him for cheap and let Forbort walk/be traded?

I'm just ready to open up a roster spot so we can get a kid in the lineup to watch intently. I enjoyed getting to watch Clague for a few games to see how he had improved since preseason. I'd like to see JAD or Grundstrom pop up for a little bit to see how they've progressed. The vets being back in the lineup have made the last 3 losses that much more boring.

What else should I ask for while I have their attention!?!

If you are reading my posts, Rob, please kindly disregard anything I said about you between 2008-2010.

Most exciting part about last night's game was Rob Blake's kid scoring a wicked wrister from the point in the U10 first intermission game.

Also, Jason Allison's kid is already a better skater than his father.

Forbort will come down to cost and term.

Hutton and Ryan can walk if not moved, the most you might get for them is a fourth anyway.

Not everyone will be shipped out but lots of options.

Clague
Bjornfot
Anderson
Durzi will all push at camp.

I know I know but they are too young. Guys are skilled and need a shot at some point. I also say keep Big Mac.

Forbort and Amart likely have the most value come deadline. Toffoli is gone.

Lewis is another contender to be dealt. If not, let him walk too. Time for a spot to open and just time for change. Team needs fresh air. Fans need fresh air.

Its not even about being too young, they're not remotely close to being ready..
Durzi is the farthest of the 4 mentioned
Clague has been meh, needs much more strength
Bjornfot/Anderson have surpassed Kale, those two are the ones who will help the most.. This is also why we need a Brodie, Hamonic, or whatever other RHD with toughness we can sign.. Think Mitchell/Scuderi/Greene type influence.
You're reaching way too far with thinking the team will have anything more than 3-4 kids on the team next season.. expect stop gap players signed to 2-3 year deals ... The shot that they need and will get will come over the course of the next 2-3 years.

Walker Doughty
Amart Anderson
Clague Roy
MacDermid

This is how I see it falling. Bjornfot can be brought in at the 21 deadline after Amart is shipped out.

Walker Doughty
Amart Anderson .. Marty is likely getting moved because he has term and fetch more this year than next
Clague Roy.... would get destroyed..
MacDermid

Its likely to look more like this after the TDL
Anderson - Doughty
Forbort - Walker
Ryan - Roy
MacDermid

Unless we get a cap filler like a Kevan Miller, TVR, Edmundson, etc... You're going to be greatly disappointed.. That's assuming those teams want one of our players to begin with
Gone
Toffoli
Martinez
Hutton
Lewis
Maybes
Campbell
Clifford
Carter
Quick

If Quick were to get moved to Pittsburgh, I would have a new favorite team in the Eastern Conference.

Yuck Malkin, I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.
