No one should look at Zadina and think what he could do next year, it's not about next year with Montreal, they are a team who should rebuild. I also highly doubt he could put up points next year with the group Monreal has today.

There could be a damm good C at 3 this season, 2nd round picks need a miracle to become saviours.
Especially with the lottery no one can tell where Montreal will be picking next year, maybe they are at 10 and looking at non #1C prospect, (and even if they are picking higher that pick isn't quaranteed to become a #1C).
Then it's another year of oh dammit and 2 years from this point.

If they trade Pacioretty & Byron, get rid of Benn & Schlemko, then I'll believe they're going through a rebuild of sorts.

Right now, I don't think so, especially with these Johnson rumours flying around. That is not a rebuild move.

We'll see. TT's comments about getting "faster", well, that happened with Domi. If they're committed to that then Hughes could be our guy too.

Or Dobson.

I just have Zadina back at the top for Montreal. We'll see how it plays out.

And Zadina is bad defensively and isn't fast...... That's the point. And Kotkaniemi's skating is fine that's why he skyrocketed. Everyone saw him go head to head with Jack Hughes... And low and behold everyone saw how overblown his skating issues are......

Maybe they could ask just take turns at centre..........

Domi & Drouin won't play together. They're both playmakers who don't like to shoot. Plus, they're terrible defensively. They'll be on different lines.

Neither Domi, Drouin or Zadina will have the kind of impact that Radulov had on the team. None is better than he is.

Zadina can replace Galchenyuk - even if it's not next year & probably do it with more character.

Then it's really tough to see the team getting fixed fast, it's going to be a long journey if they repeat their last offseason.

Anyways can't see adding another winger for W/C pointing to drafting another winger. Montreal has (Pac), Drouin, Domi, Gallagher, Lehkonen as guys who can play W, in the top6, now& longterm, but really nothing at C. Kotkaniemi has the skill, IQ, size and can snipe the puck, and most importantly C-prospect.

Montreal could very well pick Zadina, but this trade shouldn't raise the odds.

The only thing about Brady Tkachuk I don't like is the curly Red Hair, just don't bring that up during the game. LOL Brings to mind the night John Kordic went ballistic, all that over red hair, Careful what you Think just in case. :popcorn::popcorn::popcorn: I like popcorn too!!!....:devdance::devdance::devdance:and winning the SCC. My vision may be a little blurred, that's probably from reading some of the BS here about great Habs players. Particularly about ones from my hometown, no offence but Benn has been a solid MFer despite all the repertoire here. Glad it's the off season, cold brews are great on Saturday's in Victoria with great weather. Go Habs Go!!!...:thumbu::thumbu::thumbu: Choose Well GrassHoppa!!!...:laugh::laugh::laugh:

After Domi trade Tkachuk most likely pick we make at 3. Bergs like those kind of players.

??? You ever watch some of the prospects play? Negative about drafting centers is same guy who drafted Galchenyuk is same guy who is drafting now. Galchenyuk was suppose to be our #1 center. We all know how that turned out
 
Was told by a scout that Kotkaniemi is now considered a surefire top 6 center. Thing is he apparently has some health issues that were revealed at the combine in the interviews he did.

We will see next week where he goes!
 
Kotkaniemi's skating is bad and he hasn't taken huge *strides* to change that. Have you ever watched him try to turn or looked at his edge work? Bambi out there. There's a reason he makes so many nice plays from his knees :laugh:

That doesn't mean he can't improve or be a good player despite that though. I wouldn't expect him in the NHL right away. I've got guys ahead of him, but I've got nothing wrong with aiming for a center with such a high pick.

John. Tavares couldn't turn this franchise around lol. You run your mouth about watching prospects.... And you compare Zadina to Hossa....:laugh:

I have no doubt they will at least try to get rid of Benn and Schlemko. That said JJ is better than them.
The UFA market is very lean on Left D. DeHaan is the only other decent one.

But what's the rush? This team is going to suck for years. Stock pile these guys develope them properly. Let's do a proper rebuild for once. Anyone that can help will only put us closer to the abyss of mediocrity.
