Kinda like when they failed to put Chicago away in 2014 in game 6. Going into game 7 was hard to be positive until they pulled it off. lolCan't imagine what it would have felt like if the Kings hadn't put New Jersey away in Game 6 in 2012.
Yeah, but the Stanley Cup was never in the building in the series with Chicago.Kinda like when they failed to put Chicago away in 2014 in game 6. Going into game 7 was hard to be positive until they pulled it off. lol

So glad they got those wins before Bob retired.

I remember every pundit after Game 5 in New Jersey being asked, "What happens in Game 6?" Every single one of them that I can remember said the Kings would close it out, because they were the superior team. That was somewhat reassuring, but I must say I didn't feel comfortable until Lewis scored into the empty net to make it 5-1.Would have been worse, IMO. Would have meant the Kings blew a 3-0 series lead.
I remember thinking that at the time. “How quintessentially Kings to dominate all through the playoffs, go up 3-0 in the Finals, then become the first team in hockey history to get reverse swept in the Finals.”

Not gonna lie, as soon as they went up 3-0 on that major, I couldn’t help but feel like that was it. No matter how poorly the team played after that, I had faith in Quick to hold the door.

So... there's pretty much no way Boston is blowing this at home... ****ing St. Louis.
Marchand should bite himWoah, 2-0? Had to leave the room when it was 1-0. Almost all the time the better team wins game 7 but right now Binnington is the best player on the ice. Boston really couldn't do a whole lot more than they already did that period.
