So the coaching staff cares about ticket sales in Toronto? You really think team NA with McDavid, Eichel, Ekblad the Leafs own Rielly and all the other talent they have would not sell out games in Toronto? Really? :help:

Ummmm it's an nhl tourney. I'm sure the coaches could be told to put someone on their team. Like because the people that pick the gms work for the nhl ... and the gms pick the coach........ and the nhl cares about the profit made.

Chiarelli and Bowman said from the beginning it would be tough for Matthews to crack the roster.

Then WHC happened and the world saw a big 6'3 center that has elite skill, elite speed, elite hockey IQ and an endless motor.

Next thing you know, he made the roster.

Hopefully he has a good game if he gets to play tomorrow. I'm definitely looking forward to it.

You really feel Team NA will have problems drawing crowds in Toronto?

Tell me, where are the pre tournament games being played for Team NA? Would Galchenyuk not be a bigger draw? Judging by WJC fan turnout, Montreal can use all the help it can get. Toronto, not so much.

Team NA could consist of AHL players but with McDavid, they'd sell out Toronto without a problem.

Matthews made this team because he's one of the three or four elite teenagers on the planet.

How do you know they think Matthews is better? Maybe what they are thinking is that Matthews will sell a lot more than Galchenyuk? Since thats pretty much the point of this tournament.

Anyway I'm done talking on this.

So you think coaches care more about selling tickets then winning? Thats what youre saying correct?

Have you ever played sports in your life?

Maybe it was on merit he has shown well.

but you can't deny the advantages of having him there are. It's not really an insult but Toronto fans are intense and there are so many of them. Gally isn't montreals new toy.

Mathews is Torontos new toy first overall draft pick they all wanna see him

McLellan said today a captain will likely be named tomorrow before the game. If not, then before their second exhibition game.

I would probably make the lines like this.

Drouin-Mcdavid-Mackinnon
Gaudreau-Eichel-Scheifele
Matthews-RNH-Saad
Larkin-Couturier-Trocheck
Miller

Rielly-Ekblad
Murray-Jones
Gostisbehere-Trouba
Parayko

Gibson
Murray

PP1:
Drouin-Mcdavid-Mackinnon
Gostisbehere-Gaudreau

PP2:
Scheifele-Eichel-Saad
Rielly-Ekblad

PK1:
Couturier-Saad
Murray-Jones

PK2:
RNH-Larkin
Rielly-Ekblad

PK3:
Mcdavid-Scheifele
Gostisbehere-Trouba

So who's the slowest skater out of Drouin / McDavid / MacKinnon?

So who's the slowest skater out of Drouin / McDavid / MacKinnon?

Drouin, easily IMO.

McDavid is the best skater, and the fastest skater when the puck is on his stick and agility wise.

MacKinnon might have the highest overall speed.

I'd Rank them

McDavid
MacKinnon
Drouin

McDavid and MacKinnon are the fastest forwards on the team IMO, followed then close by Eichel, Larkin

McDavid: "I think, it's a cool tournament, obviously you're playing againt the world's best and guys you kinda grew up watching and all that but, you gotta put that all aside, I mean, we're here to win, we're not here to admire Team Canada or Team USA, we're here to do our thing and we'll see what we can do".

for those who don't know, Eichel and McDavid were practising on the same power-play (with Ekblad, Saad, and Scheifele)

This is actually going to be one hell of a team IMO. Those forward lines make me drool.

I'm excited to see how McDavid does with a linemate like Scheifele. Big, strong on the puck, and way more skill than Maroon. He's like Eberle but actually effective.

Gally is not better than Tro. And Tro is not on level with Matthews/Eichel --that would be Barkov level or Barky bit higher.

This Gally crap has to stop. If he was SO dominant why did Habs get owned last year and he can't find prominent role ?? It's not all coaches fault like media makes it out to be in that case.
