Its the perfect contract for both parties. Kadri doesn't have any leverage no matter how much Babs pumps his tires.
 
If we get Auston Matthews and Steven Stamkos in the next four months, William Nylander can play the wing next season.

Does Nylander play C if we luck out and get Matthews and Stamkos?

We haven't even mentioned the possibility of signing Jimmy Vesey or bringing back Parenteau, which seems very possible.

Stamkos + Matthews probably equal Nylander and Marner on wing. 1 for each center.
 
It's really difficult to write off a guy that has tools like Marincin has.

His analytical stats are stunning, for a guy that looks like he's struggling.

Marincin is a perfect example as to why you can't just look at advanced stats and assume a guy is good. He is literally garbage out there, more often than he isn't.

yes. I'd shelter Matthews at 3C for the first year. And like you said we have so many good wingers that he's still getting good playing time with good players.

Greening, and Lupul. I'm not sure if I even want either on the team next year. Sure they're both wingers on the payroll, but that doesn't make them good. If players like Leipsic, Leivo, maybe even a Johnson or someone beat Greening and Lupul out for a spot then good, because they suck and I don't want them playing.

I do find it funny in 1 of your posts you move Nylander to wing because we have too many top centers(if we get Stamkos and Matthews), and then at the end of the post you say we need to trade wingers for centers(and D) because we have too many wingers(with Nylander included in the list).
