As long as we have a 3rd line center, playing on the 1st line, playing the way he did last night, last place will be a lock. :yo:

um, which game were you watching? Kadri was very involved, had a great game, toe to toe with Eichel. I'm thinking 5 x 5 resigning for an excellent 2nd line centre.

Depending on how the draft and Stamkos shakes out (not a fan of this potentially signing but it's a possibility) - if neither happens I'd be interested in 3 years at 4.5M per for Kadri.

I think that may be a little light on the dollars, but if he goes for it worth doing.

Less term, he'd go to UFA quicker then if he took a 5 year deal. Plus we own his rights 2 more years (we're only buying 1 UFA year) and if it went to arbitration on a 1-2 year deal, he doesn't have much leverage, his stat line isn't all that great regardless of how much we've liked his play this season.

And there lies the issue. They have to think not only about next year but about 5 years from now as well.

If they are intent on Nylander and Marner being centers and if they want to bring in Stamkos do they want to dedicate 5m a year to Kadri?

Also I see Kadri playing hard ball and wanting more $ or longer/shorter term.

Anyways I think he is good off season trade bait.

NYR vs BUF-> A NYR win would be much better for the PIT pick, but BUF will have 3GP more than the Leafs. I'd say a BUF win in OT is ideal here.
OTT vs CAR -> Both teams a safe distance away from TOR. Both teams 7 points back of PIT. OTT here due to GP.
DET vs CBJ -> CBJ in OT would be ideal for me. Columbus is 9 points up on TOR, DET is 1 point back of PIT, but I think Detroit has a better chance to win as the season goes on to pass PIT than CBJ does to keep the Leafs back. GiH a factor here too.
PIT vs NYI -> PIT in a S/O would be great here. The Pens don't have the breathing room to lose a game and the Islanders have 2 GiH over PIT anyway.
DAL vs MTL -> Doesn't really matter too much. DAL if I want to be picky here.
BOS vs TBL -> Overtime would be nice, BOS win due to GP. Could relate to the Pens pick if either team does poorly, or PIT goes on a tear.
NSH vs WPG -> WPG in OT would be great for both picks.
SJS vs EDM -> Edmonton in OT would be great for both picks, but lets be real here, EDM leaving with 2 points would be huge

Is it just me or does it feel like Edmonton, Calgary and Winnipeg are the only teams left that are capable of finishing below us?

If we go .500 the rest of the way (8-8-1), we end up with 70 points.

Even if Vancouver, Arizona and Columbus all go 4-12, they'll still finish ahead of us.

the sharks played last night and lookedl like sh**. Hopefully Oilers can pull one off. But Oilers are missing 4 of their regular blueliners, and their blueline sucked to begin with.

Percy will be packaged in a deal this summer I think.

Loov ranks ahead of him.

Also, LOL @ Marincin on the top pair. Tank is real!
