If we don't move up to the top 3, or if a guy like PLD or Tkachuk doesn't drop to 6 or 7, I am fully on board with taking Jost over one of the D. I've loved watching him in the U18's.

I'm coming around as well. I had him as the classic Chevy stretch pick, but I'm not so sure it's a stretch if we're at 7-8-9.

If the Jets are picking 6-8, the question might come down to Jost, Nylander or an LHD?

I like to cast the net a bit wide....

If we get a top-3 pick, how about.... Matthews, Laine, Pulju, PLD, Chychrun, Tkachuk, Juolevi, Serg, Nylander, Jost.

If we are #6-8.... Pulju, PLD, Chychrun, Tkachuk, Jost, Juolevi, Serg, Fabbro, Keller, McLeod, Nylander, Bean, Rubtsov, Brown, Bean.

Thoughts?

For #22-24, I'll need to do some more research, and would welcome suggestions.

Assuming the Jets take a forward early in the 1st, I'd be looking at players like Dineen, Johansen, Clague, Girard and Moverare with the Chicago pick and the 2nd round pick.

What is scary about Serg?

I don't know, just find his play in my viewings to be too erratic.

Really all three of Chychrun, Sergachev and Juolevi have warts in their games that make me doubt them. I think Chychrun has the highest upside of the three and honestly at 6 or 7 would probably be okay gambling on, but would prefer a forward.

At this point if PLD and Tkachuk are off the board, I want Jost or Keller before Juolevi or Sergachev and don't have much interest in Nylander.

Top 3. Good list. But really teams are only looking at 1 guy at #1 (Matthews), 1 or 2 guys at #2 (Laine or PLD). Most of that list fits more for if we pick #3.

Top 6-8. Pretty solid list there too. Only need one Bean report, though. :naughty:

At #22-#24, for me that group includes Bellows, Tuffe, McAvoy, Dineen, Kunin, Johanson, Thompson, Benson, Clague, Stanley, Laberge, and Fabbro.

Thanks. Maybe a Swede in the mix too? Dahlen? Asplund?

I don't see how people can actually like Jones higher than 20. I've said this a lot in the past couple of weeks but he could have a career path like everyone's favourite RW, Steve Downie.

Serg. Erratic. What do you mean by this? Game to game? Shift to shift? General comment about style of play?

I thought chychrun was number 3 until recently. What has caused his fall? Me thinks he goes 4

Canada vs Sweden semi final, on TSN just now. Re-match of the game at the Iceplex here a few weeks ago.
