We have a shot at top 3. Why give that up? He may not be in Chevy's top 6 or 7, so I would wait it out for sure.

Give up a ~15% chance at top 3 for a 100% chance at Dubios? Hell yes. In a heartbeat!

Winnipeg
I'd take him with our 2nd rounder but prefer a lot of others over him in the first. I've watched him a tonne this season with the warriors so my opinion of him is probably biased due to seeing a lot of his deficiencies.

What are those exactly? He'll be a climber after his playoff and under 18.

Winnipeg kid, 96 born so next season he will be AHL eligible. 120 points in 76 games in his 19 year old WHL season in Regina.

Thoughts on Adam Brooks?

edit: Keeping with the Regina Pats, how about other Winnipeg goalie Tyler Brown? .909 sv% in his first full WHL season as starter at 18, ramped it up to .916 in the playoffs.

Or Sam Steel? Highly touted for a while (#2 overall pick by Regina back in 2013) but projected to be drafted around where our Chicago pick will be.

Chychrun, Tkachuk, Jost and Nylander are a nice group for the 6-7 pick. If PLD goes top-4, at least two of this group will be available at 7 and at least one will be available if the Jets fall back to pick #8.

I want Chychrun with us. PLS NHL

I would bet that the Jets have Chychrun and Jost high on their list. Tkachuk would also likely be of interest.

I wonder about their view of Nylander. Would they take him over Jost or Tkachuk?

In any case, having a chance to see how good Jost is has really increased my optimism for the draft. The Jets will have some very good options if they pick between #6-8, which is highly probable if they don't get a top-3 pick.

He can make some pretty bonehead plays some times. His talent is there but the way he thinks the game at higher speeds against tougher competition and commitment is sometimes lacking. He was benched a number of times this season including once during the playoffs against PA for his commitment level but he came back the next game and delivered. If you're just stat watching he looks like he had a great playoffs but there was some times when he made some horrid plays though the whole team was suffering from that against Brandon. I will admit he has been good at the U18's. The real test will be how he fares next year when Point is gone. It's rumored Popugayev wants to head back to Russia as well so the Warriors will be him and Gregors team if that happens. I don't think he will ever be an offensive powerhouse or a two-way beast but he will a solid all around player. When the competition gets tougher he seems to disappear a bit though. I think it will be awhile before he makes the NHL likely another 3-4 years and if he does I don't think it will be in a big role. He has the abilities to be a solid middle 6 contributor if he pans out though IMO.

I would as a 100% chance at Dubois means we get an at least equal player to Puljujarvi and probably a better player than Pulju IMO

I just hope we dont draft Tkachuk for namesake. Tkachuk is still a top 10 pick, but I wouldn't pick him at 6 no matter what. One of Jost, Dubois, Sergachyov, Chychrun, Juolevi, Keller, etc is going to be there at 6, and all of those are better options than Tkachuk.

On a London Knights related note, who actually wants Jones here?

At worse Chychrun is a poor mans Enstrom which isn't terrible at any means and you can do worse at six.

I know he's a real good prospect but after watching the U18's and the precamp at the iceplex, I'd be happier with Jost, Fabbro, Bitten and Howden from that team. Mostly gut feeling.

I was very impressed with #9 Puljujarvi from Finland in the semi final game against the USA. 6"4 with speed and skill to burn .......

I had him down as 3 rd OA b4...... but watching him yesterday just cemented it for me. I am going to PVR both medal games today.
