I don't know, but I'm sure it has to do with an injury or illness. No way they would healthy scratch Gropp in the POs, especially with Barzal already ill.

Oh I figured it had to be injury or illness related, I was just wondering if it were announced or anything. Hopefully he just caught a bug and only has to miss tonight's game.

Something is going on with Morrison. He got called for slashing early in the 2nd period...served his 2 minutes...and I haven't heard of or seen him since. I have not seen him on the bench, either. Wonder if he re-injured his ankle. Portland is doing the video broadcast and they haven't said anything about Morrison....but it's evident to me that he left the game sometime during the 2nd period.

Seattle won 9-2 w/o Gropp
PG won 6-1 w/o Morrison for a good portion of the game

All of our CHL prospects are winning their PO series except for Fontaine...and his series is tied 2-2.

Jess Rubenstein w/ Blueshirt Bulletin was following our Prospects tonight and confirms what I have said about Morrison:

BradMorrison appears to have reinjured himself as he played just two shifts in the first, two in the second and sat out the entire third period. His teammates did not miss him as they had little trouble defeating Portland 6-1

No Ryan Gropp (2015 second)for Seattle for game three as he sat out with an undisclosed injury. Waiting for word as to his status.

Rubenstein is pretty awful imo.

I just found him today, so I don't have an opinion yet. Guys that follow our prospects are few & far between, so I'd say he's probably worth the follow if you're like me and follow the prospects. I wouldn't be looking to him for analysis...I'd be looking to him for "news".

Fortunately, I don't depend on twitter for analysis. I get that on these boards from the many great posters we have. From the old-school guys to the new-wave fancy stats guys...I get it all here...and it's better analysis than anything I'm gonna find on twitter. For me, twitter is for news and information...nothing cerebral. Maybe I'll stop following Rubinstein if I ask him a question and he gives me gruff, but for now I'll follow him. He's keeping track of all our prospects...something I care about.

Oh yeah, i didn't mean to sound like "EVERYONE HAS TO UNFOLLOW HIM NOW!!!!!!!". Just gave my experience from my interactions with him :)

Oh, I understand...no problem. I usually don't talk to guys on twitter much, anyway....so I'm sure Rubinstein & I will get along fine, lol. :P

Of all the people I follow on twitter, I really only find myself talking to Alex Nunn...and only every now & then.

Tobbe, I see you everywhere on Twitter! If there is a Twitter account out there breaking Rangers news...you're often found replying to the tweet. I'll see Irish Guy responding to lots of tweets, too. I enjoy how small the Rangers world can be when it comes to online interaction. :D

What can i say, i like twitter :) Easy way to talk to likeminded (and not so likeminded) NYR fans about everything NYR. I love Alex, does great work.

FWIW Jess is a super nice person IRL. Funny and just an all-around good human being. We all have our opinions of the guy but I'd be remiss to not mention this.

I'm sure he is, i just had a bad experience with him on twitter, i like discussing things so i tried talking about our prospects with him and he got super defensive and arrogant with me.

Maybe he just had a bad day, it's whatever, i do fine without him and i'm sure he's OK without me too :)

Jess and Dubi Silverstein ran Blueshirt Bulletin, which was a very good source for Ranger news before everything exploded with regard to blogs and websites. Jess's opinions/takes on prospects was always questionable IMO. The most notable was him being upset that the Rangers took Kreider over Caron in the 2009 draft.

Yeah back before Twitter and everyone having a blog BB was essential reading. Jess would comb local papers for news on guys that you wouldn't find elsewhere. Even if you didn't care for his opinions he did a great job recapping the previous night's action.

He also threw a temper tantrum when the Rangers first brought Zuccarello into the organization.

I got their paper for years but hockey blogsites killed them. When HF really started hitting its stride--BB then was always like two weeks ago's version of yesterdays news. I don't how much they had invested in that in that project but whatever it was I can only imagine it was lost. Personally I prefer the more pro active internet blog sites--cheaper, more fun and you don't have to be late on anything if you don't want to be.
