I think Wall has had an okay period. He made a number of really tough saves. The goal was kind of soft, its a hard one to react to. Its 1-1 after 1.

Yeah, he had a great initial save, but I think as he was making it, he was still in the process of moving over, so it looked like his leg was still up in the air a bit from moving. That allowed for the rebound to be tucked in.

Don't think he could have done much there considering he was still in motion.

Not bad though. UML seems to be tilting the ice towards their favor now. Their swarming strategy is pretty solid.

Very good game overall by Day, sadly his one soft play was on the game winning 3-2 goal where he was caught puck watching instead of taking Stephens body infront of the net.

Otherwise he was pretty much automatic on the zone exits and shot the puck a lot.

I am not a goalie coach but Wall's positioning is superb, always square to the shooter. He looks really fluid and calm, he looks like a really good prospect to me. Every single odd man rush against it's almost like like the speed isn't fast enough for him, he's there in position. At least, that's my take admittedly seeing him for the first time, I like him, I hope he's eligible for the WJC.

The goal against is a mulligan goal, the guy whiffed twice and threw him off, it was one of those things, that happen. Even then, he was positioned well the puck just squeaked through. meh.

Watching Day skate is hilarious.

He literally looks like he is playing with no urgency whatsoever but meanwhile he just skating through or pulling away from everyone.

He's eligible, but Canada usually doesn't pick NCAA players.

Prospects board says he sucks though. :help:

Because he dropped, because he had off-ice issues. Just like Buchnevich. People look at draft position way too often when talking about prospects. Some players drop for whatever reason. Day has the wheels to outskate anyone in the OHL which is great to build on while developing

I know, I got a bunch of people angry on that board recently because I pushed back at a person who said Day sucks.

Wall is incredibly efficient in his movement and poised before the shot. Very impressive for a kid his age. Allaire is probably dying to get time with this kid.

Notre Dame tied it. Not much Wall could do. Someone drove the net, so he couldn't completely corral the puck, and his teammates couldn't clear the puck. Someone came flying in to score from just in front of the net.

According to Michael Russo Minnesota U. Gophers senior forward and former Brady Skjei teammate is down to two teams he's going to sign with---the Rangers and Chicago apparently are both really after him.

Way ahead of you in the other/proper thread ;)

I think it's fair to say that Day probably still has a lot of work to do in order to be an impact NHL defenseman but it does basically seem like you get labeled as something before the draft and you're stuck with it for a very long time no matter what happens after that

Even when he accelerates, it doesn't look like his legs start to move any faster than just a casual stride, it's so insane to watch
