Broadcast just showed a slowmo replay of Day intercepting and clearing a pass across the front of the crease. that was almost a sure goal. Good stuff.

Announcers have been showing Day some love too. Also called him our best prospect, IIRC, which is arguable, depending on who you count as graduated/not a prospect.

EDIT: The slot line interception

Windsor holds on to win 4-2. Going to play in the finals on Sunday. Will face the winner of SJ and Erie.

I don't understand, how come he didn't snow-angel on the ice? Why is he still on his feet?

Almost a sure fire goal? Looked like one of the easiest defensive plays ever, best part is his positioning. I guess we need all the highlights we can get

The obvious ability to make forwards miss is something we do not have at all on defense. The 2nd and 3rd moves likely are not there at the NHL level, but being able to be F1 on the forecheck and hitting a forward or dumping it in will get him to the NHL.

Don't think I saw this posted here

Any of our resident Swedes care to translate please?

"Some Ranger fans on HFBoards were too hard on me for not putting up amazing numbers as a 19 year old in a new country, in a new league. I have decided to return to Sweden because of this. Thank you."

Run it through Google Translate. It's a good article and interview.

"Only" Twelve points in 72 games, how do you think about that?
- There were setbacks throughout the season. Obviously I'm not happy with twelve points. I had expected a little more. It is what it is and I had a learning season.

Are you disappointed in the season that has been, or do you see it more as instructive money?
- A little both. Most see it as a learning thing. It was my first season and I still think what I did, I did well, although I have not really had a chance.
- It was a learning season so that I moved over to the other side of the world and all that.

Flyline's Swedish leaves a little to be desired!:)

He didn't complain about the adjustment to America but did refer to the size of the rinks as being a big difference. When I saw him play in December he showed no patience with the puck as if he knew that he had no time. He also felt that after the first ten games he wasn't given much of an offensive role. It is true that Hartford was so devoid of talent that it was a more difficult environment to excel.

He does say he wondered what he did wrong. Doesn't say much for the coaching staff that the player isn't aware of a problem with his play.

He also said he is ready for the NHL this year. :shakehead

"Well, I was going to score more goals, but I just hate that Scott Tenorman kid so much that I don't want to. Yeah. Scott Tenorman is totally not cool! He's not cool!"
