OK, I think they just double shifted True for that goal. He's back with Gropp and Adams.

Game is 3-0 by the way. 3 different lines have scored ... but not Gropp's line.

Regarding Zborovskiy, I literally could not care any less what he brings offensively. I have nothing against defensive defensemen and in fact I usually root hard for them as they're often underrated.

I just don't think Zborovskiy is that good at any one particular thing to make him more than a 6/7 at best. His skating isn't special, he's not great at making the first pass, and his physicality is fine in a league where he's bigger, stronger and older than the vast majority of his competition but is otherwise not particularly impressive. He seems pretty solid positionally and seems to have good awareness out there. I don't know, I just don't see much noteworthy.

I hope he makes it in some capacity, as I do for all of our guys. I just don't see the 3/4 upside that some do.

Good God. Things just got bad in a hurry.

Seattle gives up 4 unanswered goals in the 2nd to go down 4-3.

Regina gives up a late 3rd period goal to go down 4-3. Regina will be on the brink of elimination if they lose this. Who woulda thunk...

Gropp getting 2nd unit PP time now. Even the announcers are wondering why he isn't on the first unit.

He has also played the PK tonight, so I don't think he's being eased in to anything. He needs to be on 1st unit PP and back with Barzal and Kolesar, IMO. This coach is pissing me off.

Gropp was put back with Barzal in OT. Barzal scored the game winner and Gropp got the assist.

This ****ing Regina game is still going on, lol. They're getting ready for the 3rd OT.

Regina just lost in the 3rd OT. Gave up a PP goal. Refs weren't calling penalties in the OT, but they kind of had to call this one on Hobbs because it was so obvious. Sucks they lost on a PP goal.

They're down 3-1 in the series now. This is a HUGE upset in the making. Can't believe it.

I think we need to calm down when it comes to Zbrorovskiy, i'm not high on him but it's hard to draw conclusions right now, wait until we see if his game translates to the pros or not.

How do you explain Josh Manson's career? Chris Tanev's?

The Tanev comparison makes no sense. At 19 he was racking up goals and points in college hockey against guys much older than he was. He was also undrafted. Manson is one example of a late bloomer. There's a reason he was taken in the sixth round. The point isn't that guys with those numbers NEVER work out. It's that they rarely do. The fact that your comparisons were fringe prospects who didn't rise up the ranks until much later in their development speaks to that.

You've safely moved the goalposts out of the arena.

Update on Minnesota Duluth Right Handed Defenseman Neal Pink from Elliotte Friedman

28. Also, expect a decision soon from Minnesota-Duluth defender Neal Pionk. An undrafted, right-hand shot, he’s got two more years of eligibility but there now are teams who want to sign him.

It would be nice for the Rangers to sign a right handed defenseman prospect.

I am not a Konowalchuk fan, he is at best an average coach. Also Seattle was playing very well without Gropp, so I can see them not wanting to mess the chemistry up.
With him in on the OT goal expect to see him back on the top line and top PP.

Rouyn-Noranda getting blown out. Chicoutimi scored 15 seconds into the game and hasn't looked back. 5-0 in the second. Fontaine has not been on the ice for any of the goals against, at least.

A heads up on tonight's CHL schedule:

Soo vs. Owen Sound 7:07 PM EDT (Series ties 2-2)
Rouyn-Noranda @ Chicoutimi 7:30 PM EDT (Series tied 2-2)
Regina vs. Swift Current 9:00 PM EDT (Swift Current leads series 3-1)
Seattle vs. Everett 10:35 PM EDT (Seattle leads series 3-0)

Soo coming back. Down 3-2 almost halfway through the third.

Rouyn losing 2-0 in the 2nd.

If these games stay the way they are...we're in trouble. The way the series are going, we may be left with Gropp and only Gropp to follow for the remainder of the CHL POs (until Day returns for the Memorial Cup).

Rouyn-Noranda lost 3-1. No points for Fontaine. Rouyn is losing the series 3-2.

Regina with a good 2nd period has taken a 3-1 lead in the game. It's win or go home for Regina.

Seattle game starting in a few minutes. They can sweep Everett with a win tonight.

Well, I'll be here yapping about the Gropp game tonight, lol.

Game is about 5 minutes in.

Gropp has played with both the Barzal/Kolesar and True/Adams lines. I hope he sticks with Barzal/Kolesar as the game advances. We'll see.

Konawalchuk keeps playing Gropp with True/Adams now. This is unacceptable. Gropp was one of the hottest players in the WHL for MONTHS. He is an overager that has been with the teams for eons and lead the team in points this year. Because he misses a few games due to a high hit....all of a sudden you penalize him and play him with less talented players? This is a horrible coaching decision. Gropp deserves more respect and appreciation. Makes me furious.
