“@DennisTFP: Last RT: Kings/Habs looking at each other closely. LA 2 scouts in MTL for Habs/Canes last week, likewise 2 MTL in NJ today for Kings Devsâ€

The last thing we need is another mediocre Dman, which Gilbert definitely is.

Oh most definitely, but unfortunately, there really aren't many options out there for a RH dman. More lefties out there like Hamhuis, so someone will have to play on their off-wing like Martinez has been doing for most of the season.

Question: would you trust Gravel in the playoffs?

Yes. I'd trust Forbort also. Both these two played so well to win the Calder Cup. Why would anyone believe Schenn will be OK in the playoffs? Or McNabb? Have either of them ever played a playoff game?

Schenn has played a few playoff games and has considerable NHL experience. Not his fault he's been on garbage teams.

Yes, I believe he'll be OK in the playoffs if the Kings make it in.

Are there any large R-PMD with some nasty out there?

I'm not seeing how a big nasty LHD (Regehr) type would work in the line up...
Muzzin/Doughty
****/Martinez
McNabb/Schenn

That McNabb/Schenn pairing could end up like the Mitchell/Greene pairing of despair...

Of course you could shorten the rotation up and just run the top 2 pairings... but if you're going to the bargain bin and getting a vet, can they log the time?

Also comes down to what's available... There may not be any RHD that fit what the Kings need...

We'll see what Lombardi can pull off...

Hamonic would be the closest thing, not really known as a big offensive threat but he doesn't waste time getting the puck up ice. I don't think the Kings have the assets to pull that one off either.

Or the cap room

Didn't Harmonic want to go to Canada for family reasons?

So the Short list looks like Trouba, or if that's too expensive Gilbert from MTL... other then that you're looking at a LHD...
