You have to think Mersch would be the one to be called up over Kempe. I would not be upset thou to see Kempe play
Petry or Gilbert?
The last thing we need is another mediocre Dman, which Gilbert definitely is.
Question: would you trust Gravel in the playoffs?
Why can't it be both?
Are there any large R-PMD with some nasty out there?
I'm not seeing how a big nasty LHD (Regehr) type would work in the line up...
Muzzin/Doughty
****/Martinez
McNabb/Schenn
That McNabb/Schenn pairing could end up like the Mitchell/Greene pairing of despair...
Of course you could shorten the rotation up and just run the top 2 pairings... but if you're going to the bargain bin and getting a vet, can they log the time?
Also comes down to what's available... There may not be any RHD that fit what the Kings need...
We'll see what Lombardi can pull off...
Hamonic would be the closest thing, not really known as a big offensive threat but he doesn't waste time getting the puck up ice. I don't think the Kings have the assets to pull that one off either.
