Danielsson in the top-6 seriously? I can would be fine with him playing on the PP but the top-6 REALLY?

Well only some exhibition so far but he'll be in a checking role and kill a lot of penalties. I'm sure he'll do fine in that role.
 
Why did Berglund decline?

Too bad. He's one of the few Swedes who can score.
 
By going by the first period, I would say, my concern about Lindström was not needed. He looks great. If he actually would get some minuts in NHL he would probably have done much better.

Wondering why Wikstrand wasn't invited. Seems like he played a ton of minutes in playoffs. Not good enough? Too much competition?
 
Forsberg did not play good. Some rest before next game hopefully gets him nice and sharp.

I didn't expect much from him since he arrived just this morning, but he was terrible. He'll hopefully play better next game.

Nobody really made great plays on a consistent level this game but you could see some glimpses here and there. I liked Lindholm & Rask but I'm not so sure Hjalmarsson is an ideal linemate for them.

OEL & Klingberg are going to be the fun part of this team.

Wikstrand is a good young player and should have a bright future. But he hasn't played a single game for the National Team this year and there are others in the SHL that would be ahead of him. Niclas Andersen, Jonas Junland and Niclas Burstrom for sure. Johan Motin and Viktor Ekbom played in pregames before the tournament, so they would be ahead too. As would probably Tim Heed, Mattias Karlsson and Elias Falth. A few others from other leagues in Europe too. Wikstrand is still far down the list, but he could defenitely be in the discussion a year from now.
 
Anyone else seen Tomas Ros' player grades? Hilarious. Basically he gave every player on the team 2+ incl. Forsberg, Sjögren and OEL. And then a handful players 3+ including Hjalmarsson(!). Quite comical.

I saw them and I came to the conclusion that he couldn't possibly have watched the game. Either that or he exceeded the level of ignorance and complete cluelessness that I thought anyone could ever have of a subject of which one makes a living off of... come to think of it, it's Ros so it's probably the latter.
