Wow. Tv4 is really overhyping the tournament this year. Apparently you can even see the practises online.

To be honest, many Swedish players are doing well in the play-offs too (our #1 Lundqvist for example). This is something we need to adjust our expectations too, we are a big hockey nation and Canada deals with this all the time. We need to get accustomed to it.

But they are "injured". Best excuse ever. But yeah, this shows pretty much perfectly why Swedish fans are disappointed. Luckily, the young NHLers are pretty good, but they're no Karlsson or Sedin.
 
Boustedt really is pathetic with his tweeting. Last picture he posted is Popovic posing in his boxers. Am I the only one who doesn't think it's funny?

I for one would like to se Peter Popovic in his boxers. Big dude, cant look too bad.

Edit: I guess i was wrong on that one. Image fail. Did not even bother to stuff them with a sock.
 
What goalie should be in vs Canada?

Enorth let by a couple of easy ones against the Czechs, but Nilsson didn't really get tested today.

Personally I would prefer Nilsson.

Can teams still add players? Wonder if Mr. Nylander could get an invite? Marlies about to be eliminated.
 
I would love to see Nylander, I think he could add a lot. But I do not think he is even considered at all since he is young and play in AHL, he would probably have got a chance in the pre-tournament if he would have stayed in SHL.

He did say about the only, one Hedman Strålman and Lundqvist would likely get invited too. However the likelyhood that he would bring in an 18 year old that has yet to play a game in the NHL as a difference maker at this point in a tournament is next to nothing

Loui gets way too little credit again. Had a nice assist to Lander and made the play that opened it up for Forsberg on the 2nd goal. Thought him & Forsberg were the two best players out there.
 
Minnesota will definitely lose the series against Chicago and Jonas Brodin could be another useful addition.
It's scaring,Sweden have enormous depth in defence.
Hamphus Lidholm/21/ is already a beast,Hedman,EK,Stralman,Hjalmarsson,A. Larsson,Kronwall,Edler.

Brodin would be great. Always wanted to see him & OEL on a pair.

I think he is a better fit with Klefbom. They know each other very well from the days in junior and FBK.

If Brodin becomes available and is invited (which I doubt):
OEL-Klingberg
Klefbom-Brodin
Kronwall-Ekholm
Rahimi

Brodin is better than Klingberg but I think those two pairs complement each other better than OEL-Brodin, Klefbom-Klingberg.

Many times he seems to be invisible but he is so good with and without the puck. Nothing fancy but imo he is one of the best players overall in doing the "little" things that create that extra little bit of time and space for his line mates. He is the exact type of player you would want playing with rookies who can be a bit jittery imo.

One of the best players in Boston this season and probably the best on Tre Kronor so far.
