Anyone else that want to see Lindström gone from the lineup? He has been a black hole on the offensive side, slowing down the play and giving away pucks. On the powerplay he holds on to the puck for way too long instead of letting OEL run the play and just play the role as a quick trigger man from the side. I think he alone has made sure the "Skellefteå line" has been the worst so far on the team.

No. I think he's been good.

He has been downright awful missing passes looks slower than he has ever been before shoots the puck all the ****ing time on the PP but always hits a defending player. Not only has he not been contributing he has actually made the team worse apart from the goalie he scored which was all Möller

You'd take Lindström out of the lineup and replace him with who exactly? Danielsson? Come on, he hasn't been that awful (or at least I don't think so).

Call Hörnqvist and say sorry for not getting back earlier. He is a more natural RW also.

EDIT: A first step would be to remove him from the powerplay. I think players like Lindholm should be playing over him on the PP unit anyway.

Lindström is very overated i would like Lindholm to take the sidewall Bäckström has on the powerplay he probably the best playmaker on the team .

Did Klefbom get injured or did they just rest him? Played only 3:50.

Lindström is creating LOADS of scoring opportunities and is constantly the one carrying the puck into the offensive zone, he just hasn't been producing as much as usual. His linemates aren't creating nearly as much and you want him to be the one to sit? Really?

I give up. Vive la France!

He is overestimating his ability, losing a lot of pucks, and trying to create too much on his own instead of letting better players (such as OEL) hang on to the puck longer. Möller and Ericsson have made up for some of the lacklustre offense with better defensive play, but the whole line has been by far the worst so far in the tournament.

Couldn't disagree more. Lindström is doing most things right but the pucks just haven't gone in for him.

ps I think Soderberg should have been given a go but I don't think Team Sweden will ever do it after he turned them down in 2013 to come to the Bruins, long memories

He is not signed so he couldn't come, or rather wouldn't come. It is very risky to play when you are not under contract and normally very few players do it.

From what I read at the time though he was contacted at the same time as Loui (at least that was when he made comments about it explaining why he couldn't come).

I think he did an interview this year saying the Swedish coach was PISSED when he didn't take the offer to play

I think our chances of reaching the gold medal game are much greater if we lose against Canada. A win would most likely give us Russia in the semifinal, a loss would give us a tougher quarterfinal (Finland?) but an easier semifinal (USA?).

Thru the years there is a clear pattern, losing to the team we eventually faces in final is a good thing. A win in the roundrobin means a loss in the final.

King Loui!

Does anyone know where to get authentic Team Sweden jerseys? Player issue, not just a blank team one.

Here's the official Tre Kronor webshop. You wanna choose "Heavy Fan jersey med tryck" (with print). The cheaper one is the replica. You then can choose name and number. I did a quick check and it looks like they ship to Oz.

Of course he was, he counted on Soderberg who had been the best player in SHL and on the national team that year. He had guarantueed places for Soderberg, J.Ericsson and J.Lundqvist on the WHC roster (and they had agreed to it). Then the offer from Boston came and he bailed. I would also be pissed off at the time, but it is water under the bridge.

That played into the decision not to make him part of the possible players for the Olympics in 2014 (although it is very doubtful he would have made that team anyway). This year he was invited and said no (I thought so but now I confirmed it, see SWE hockey's official website, declines are listed). Simple as that, no need to look for drama when there is none. They are adults after all.

Granberg? Sure he is solid and he will probably be ok, and can fill a defensive deep role, but we already have those players in the team. I do not really see the point of filling out the team this early, you do not need 8 d-men and 23-25 players totally, you only need 6 d-men and 20 players totally to get a full team. Couldnt they have wait and see if Brodin comes? Why do we need to add a defensive deep d-men as the 8th d-men this early?

With that said, I wouldnt have mind it at all if Brodin would have rejected the invitation.

I like this move. I don't think it would be a good idea to gamble on whether or not Brodin's team will be eliminated soon, and only adding Granberg if Brodin then declines.
