Problem with Kabanov is consistancy and drive. I don't think he is an international player, not yet anyway. He has good tools (size, skating, hands, shot), but he doesn't give a consistant effort.

That's why he'll never become a star he was once projected to become. He was considered a main star of the team that had Tarasenko, Kuznetsov, Panarin. And now he's obviously nowhere close to them.

Cool, will be nice to see Kovy again. Why isn´t Mozyakin and popov playing, could we consider that as Mozyakin and popov have secured their spot in the roster (looking back at their good performance yesterday)?

I think Popov, Mozyakin and Plotnikov 99% will go to the World Championship, they no longer need to check.
 
By the way,
Pittsburgh out this night. How does it look for Malkin? Anyone heard any rumours on him, just anything, even from some shady source?

Russian hockey federation already send a letter to PIT regarding him.

Not its up to them (PIT) and Malkin.
 
Panarin should move to NA. He isn't soft at all, great forechecker, and with his hands and scating he won't have a lot of problems to get used to NA hockey.

This night Nashville Predators got kicked out, anyone got any news on Volechenkov? I haven´t followed him so well, but he tends to be injured everytime it's time for world championships and haven´t played a game since the one against Germany 2009 (injured in that game from a slapshot i recall).
That guy is made out of glass.
Anyway, is there a chance he might play?

Not sure if Znarok even knows that Volchenkov is still playing hockey.
 
Hope Malkin can play, hope Ovechkin loses and goes to Prague.

Russia vs. Canada final would be the greatest final this tournament's ever had with Crosby now going. :handclap:

Is Radulov 100% off the radar at the moment? Just a few days away from the first game now, i'm sure something must have happened?
Are they waiting for some test result from doctors, waiting for Radulov to answer or what?

Compared to the Czech, Swedish and Canadian teams we are nowhere near close right now. We need Radulov and Malkin even if they are injured, they never play a bad game for Russia how unfit they may be.
Also we need St Louis to lose today and get Tarasenko (even though sweden will probably get Steen, Berglund and Gunnarsson)
After that we should pray for Washington to lose on monday. We need all those players to make even make it to the final this year.

An bonus would be if Montreal lost and we get Yemelin (maybe Markov too).

Honestly I think the team we have so far is worse than our editions in 2011 and 2013. Wouldn´t want to miss out on perhaps the best World Championship in many years by entering the tournament with these guys.

after tomorrow night we could see those bolded names available at least, think Red wing and especially Montreal are too strong :/

Hey! Anyone has a clue how many players that Znarok could leave a spot for and wait for them to lose in the quarter finals? Also, how long can a team wait until taking players in, I mean, can a team wait for the NHL Quarter final game 7 to be over?
 
No Malkin and No Radulov. Great. I like to see a my favorite young russian player Nichuskin in team Russia. Now his chances to be selected are much higher.
