Oh well, I knew that already, but since you said that Malkin will play as Crosby would, I thought Malkin confirmed that he would come :)

Tarasenko just got eliminated! The playoffs perhaps best player so far might join russia for the WHC! Would be nice if Washington lost tomorrow and we could get a reunion between Tarasenko and Kuznetsov, they were a really sick duo in the JWC together!

Kovy - Tikhonov - Tarasenko was once a good line. Then Panarin - Shipachyov - Dadonov and Mozyakin - Popov - Zaripov - that's three good lines.

Sounds reasonable, but still not better than a 4th place imo :/
Btw, atm Montreal seem to go to the next round half way into game 6. Would be sweet if Ottawa could turn this back and send Yemelin and Markov how WHC :)

The SKA line is one of the best in the wolrd and Mozy/Zaripov are always dominant. Between those 2 lines there will be ample scoring. Then throw in Kovy and the forwards are already gold medal calibre.

Nice update!
Do you know how many players that Znarok has to register right from the start of the tournament and how many spots that are going to be left for players that join later?

Edit: Also, anything new on Malkin or Tarasenko?

No one knows how many people Znarok included in first tournament roster.
We have a lot of forwards, very difficult choice.

Malkin's agent said he's ready to come to the WC, but exactly when it will arrive is not yet ready to say.
Question with the arrival Tarasenko should be solved within two days.

Thanks! Nice to hear that Malkin might be on his way!

But what is the general amount of players that a team has to register before starting the tournament, I mean what are the IIHF rules on rosters?

iihf roster rules - 22 players + 3 goalkeepers, added to roster can be made at any time the WC.
You can start the championship with 15 players in the roster example.

Rukavishnikov, Popov, Kokarev, Burmistrov - cut

Keep us updated on Malkin please!

Malkin-Tarasenko is a must for this tournament. Should have happened in the Olympics, instead of trying injured Semin and useless Popov on the RW with Malkin.

Since Ovechkin and Kuznetsov went on to the next round last night after winning game 7, both Tarasenko and Malkin are needed if we want to stand a chance this year because even if we would get ovechkin/kuznetsov prior to the play off stage it wouldn´t be enough.

Kulyomin - I don´t know. He has played a lot for the national team and never really made anything special to remember him for, I think we should leave as many spots open as possible for players like ovechkin or kuznetsov later on. Kulyomin's style doesn´t fit with the russian, he's too much of a dump-and-chase type of nhl-player.

On the other hand - after tomorrow night we will know whether Datsyuk or Kucherov will be available! The latter has had an awesome season and should be more than ready for a debute in the national team.

Funny that you say that, becuse evey time Russia is playing against Canada, Finland, Sweden you guys are playing very physical and forechecking alot. Kulemin fits perfect in that kind of play.
