I expect disaster every time Hägg is anywhere near the puck.

Olofsson, Kempe & Brodecki have been invisible so far, they need to get going.

Brodecki has been very creative, so cant say a I agree about that. Kempe was good today and scored 2 goals in the first game even if he wasnt very good otherwise in that game (he has 4 p in 2 games). Do not think Olofsson have got very much ice-time, so hard to judge

Hägg has been ok and fairly solid. People are expected perfection? That will not happen no matter what players we have.

I have expected more from Wallmark I have to say, he has been good but he was better last year(maybe he is missing Burakovsky). Same thing with A Karlsson, much better last year and this year he get a lot more ice-time, but he seems more invisible than last year. I think they should reduce Karlsson ice-time by a lot. Bristedt have taking Karlssons role this year and deserve the ice time more than Karlsson do, even Lööke looks much more interesting than Karlsson do even if he gets very limit ice-time.

Yep, Kempe, sheesh, that invisible player of the game with two goals in game 1 and 2 assists today giving him 4 points in 2 games played. We need more invisible players like Kempe.

This Swedish team is so much worse than last years. There is no surprise Nylander didnt make last years team, even at his current level he would be a shoe in. So far Canada, USA, Russia and Finland looks to be a lot better than Sweden but i hope we can steal a couple of more games to keep the tournament alive...

I haven't noticed him much. His first goal against the Czechs is the only good play I can remember him making.

Wow, talk about overrating last years team and underrating Nylander. And how is Finland, or Russia for that matter, a lot better than Sweden based on what we've seen in the WJC so far? Makes no sense.

Kempe has only played 1.5 games really.. Think he got less than 10 minutes of ice time yesterday.

I guess you mean NOT be a shoe in? But he would, off course a player that score 1p per game in SHL is a shoe in a WJC team. He maybe would have played in WJC last year if he hadnt move around so much.

Russia looks a lot better than us? We just beat them, have 9p and 13-5 in goal difference and have switzerland left, while Russia have 5 p and 12-5 in goal difference with czech left. Lets hope that they keep disappointed you.;)

I think it looks good, execpt for us faceing finland in QF, that is not a good reward for finish first in the group.

Just a couple of things stands out between Finland/Russia/Last years Swedish team. This team is really slow and they cant do tape to tape passes. They were lucky as hell vs Russia, 2 shots in from the blue line and a lucky bounce to give them a totally undeserving win. Hägg is the goto D on the team (with exception of Aho) and he is black hole as a defensive D man.

I have to guess that you haven't been watching any full game after the czech game? I agree that last years team was better but I this team plays much better than I anticipated. This year our big guys actually is the best players on the team( except Hägg) and that is really promising.

Is Linus Soderstrom Tommy's son?

Nope.

The guy we need to get involved more is definitely Kempe. He works great on that PP unit with the 1st line but at EVS there's not much chemistry. Maybe try Kempe-Wallmark-Bristedt. Wouldn't touch DLR's line, it's our best defensively line and we're gonna need it.

Joel Eriksson Ek should be in that mix too. Talented two-way player with SHL experience. Been great with the international U18 team.

I have actually watched all games and even if it looked "ok" during the first 10 minutes vs Russia it doesnt take much away from the overall impression. I wish it did but its rather obvious the team simply lacks talent. =( I hope they can "trolla med knäna" and become good but i seriously doubt it. However, they are still in it so lets hope! =)

I think you can forget about W Nylander next year, most likely he will play for Toronto then, but Timashov is a good replacer.

Forwards
Timashov - Holmström - Lindblom
Lööke - Kempe - Asplund
Grundström - Eriksson Ek - Kovacs
A Karlsson - Ehn - Törnqvist
Ahl

Worth mention, Forsbacka Karlsson, Franzen, Vejdemo, Forsberg, O Lang, Stenlund,

D-Men:

Aho - Lagesson
Kylington - Ollas Mattsson
Forsling - R Andersson
Englund

Worth mention: Lindgren, Larsson, Carlsson, Pettersson, Bouramman, E Johansson,

Goalies
Söderström, Sandström, Källgren

Toronto
I'm positive Nylander will be with the Leafs next year but depending on his minutes/role/play he is a loan candidate for Sweden like Lazar or Duclair.

Yes this talentless team, just won their group with a landslide, but off course they all sucks. This talentless team has players like Kempe on the third line, players like R Andersson, Timashov didnt even make the team, that is how talentless this team is.

In the 2000 century I would rank this team as number 4 after 2009, 2010 and 2014, on paper, and I do not think this team are far behind. They are better on paper than the team we actually won with. Next year could be our best ever on paper if we for some reason have access to Nylander than as well, which I think is slim, but hopefully Toronto isnt as a big """" as caps, so they dont even let him go even if they dont play him.

If you want to see talentless swedish U20 team, look at the begining of this century. We could just dream about this team back then.

People here are whining about final losses, serioslouy? About 10 years ago we where playing relegation games, now we are complaing about to many final losses? We have gone from being at slovakia level to being the dominating factor at junior level in 10 years time, not everything can be perfect.

Finished watching the game. Best one by far IMO, every player just seemed to make quicker decisions. Nobody stood out in a bad way, still want to see more from Hallmark.

When Nylander plays with intensity there is no forward I've seen that can match him in this tournament. I hope him & his line keeps it up for the quarterfinal.

My ideal scenario if the Leafs do retain Carlyle (Black hole for any offensive creativity) is for Nylander to stay and rip up the SHL another year with a better supporting cast than this years, and then put on a display hopefully better than Domi's at the next WJC, with the Swedes replacing their WJ coach.
