Does anybody know where I might be able to catch the Canada-USA WJC game on New Years Eve in Las Vegas? I'm spending New Years in Vegas this year, but don't want to miss this game either, and since it's an 8am PT start I wouldn't really be missing out on anything.
All of USA's WJC games (and some other games) will be shown on our version of NHL Network. Many sports bar around me in DC have the NHL Network so it's not too obscure, but don't know about specific places in Vegas. I would suggest calling around to some of the bigger sports bars there to see if they carry that channel, or (maybe more likely given New Years Eve) trying a casino's sports book that has a lot of TVs and won't mind one of them with the game. Mandalay Bay and MGM Grand both have fairly large sports books, if I remember correctly, but its been a while. Or....Slingbox it.

And updating my last reply....this place claims to be the HQ of the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers and that the players hang out there after games. A hockey-friendly bar in Vegas, this may be the most likely option: http://www.mcmullansirishpub.com/sports.shtml
Hi guys,
Hopefully there are some Swedish posters around who can give me a quick hand with Ticnet.
I am trying to buy tickets for the 30th at the Isstadion, but everytime I reserve tickets, it will only let me search 'best available' and everytime I do this the seats I get are apart from one another (i.e. 115, 117, 119).
Also why can't I look at the individual seats as dots like I can with Malmo Arena (I already bought tickets to other games there with no trouble)?
Anyone want to help me out? I am looking for 215.00 SEK seats for the games on the 30th.
The same thing happened to me, but I assumed that's just the way the seats are numbered and I bought them anyway. I think Ticnet has an information line. Maybe you should try that.
Yeah it's like theater seating numbering at the Isstadion...the odd number seats are next to each other, and the even number seats are next to each other. So seats 115, 117, and 119 should be three seats in a row.
And about what airport to take, buy the cheapest ticket, it dose not mater where you land, you will be able to find good and cheap public transport to wherever you want. Welcome to Scandinavia
1. What airport do you recommend? Is it true that I should fly to Denmark actually in order to get to Malmö the easiest way. That's what some websites are saying.. is going over the border as easy (you wont even notice it) as crossing Finland-Sweden border?

In Malmö Arena you'll sit at the glass as you can see. It's one of the better arenas in Europe, I really like it "NHL Style" where you can bang the glass, and luckily I got all my tickets on the first row!

Malmö Arena opened on November 6th 2008 so yeah it's pretty new.The arena looks really good. It must be pretty new. Nice!
Ticnet...these guys just never cease to disappoint.
I'm glad I bought most of my tickets almost a year ago when their site was still somewhat user friendly.
Nowadays it doesn't seem like you can choose your seat at all.
You can only choose section and the rest is chosen for you...
d35 row 5 seat 24 won't tell you anything without a proper zoomable arena map.
(Just an example, I haven't bought that one. If it even exist.)
Btw what's up with the interest for Sweden-Finland on the 28th?!
It seems like Malmö Arena is completely sold out for that one.
I find it kinda odd since there's still seats available for the semifinals.
I'm not surprised the final is sold out though.
Guess I'll be hanging out at the Isstadion instead on that day.
It was the only ticket I was missing... Oh well.

I've updated my old google map thingy with the "Malmö Airport".
Just so you'll know where it's located.
It's not my airport of choice but anyway..

So here's my question for anyone who knows Malmo...
Many of us are staying near either Central Station or Lilla Torg area. Going to and from Malmo Arena is easy: train from Central Station to Hyllie Station and you're there.
Going to and from Malmo Isstadion, however, seems a bit trickier. According to Google, the Isstadion is about a 30 minute walk from Hyllie Station. Someone previously suggested taking the train to Triangeln Station, but that's still a 25 minute walk. Are those really the best options? There appear to be buses from the Central Station or Lilla Torg area which would get us a lot closer. Anyone know how reliable those are?
