We returned home yesterday after having a great time. The people were wonderful, although I have no real impression of Malmo. We stayed in Copenhagen, which was beautiful, and only came across for games. There's nothing really around either rink, so it was hockey and nothing else for us in Malmo. Congrats to the Finns for the gold. They played tremendous defensively. Canada had no answer for their trap and they way they collapsed around the goal. I can't believe the Swedes lost. Their speed watching them live was astounding. It wasn't that long ago that Canada would run the Swedes out of the building at the world juniors. No longer. We need to look at their development system.
Props to the Canadian fans who made the journey. They were incredible in their numbers and appreciation for the game. We got chills listening to them sing the anthem after Canadian wins.
Thanks Malmo/Copenhagen!
