Keep in mind that Systembolaget is closed on sundays :D And don't make the same mistake as all tourists in Sweden to buy beer at the grocery store since they're only allowed to sell low-alcohol beer :D

You can fly to London and back for 500 SEK, with some budget airlines from Sweden. But the same amount won't take you 50 km in a Cab. (If you're not settling the deal in advance with the cabby, but probably not anyway) Funny... Or not.

Buy your tickets now if you can. Looks like most high profile games will be well attended. CAN vs USA is almost sold out, as are the semifinals. The final plus SWE-FIN are sold out already.

Can't wait for this! I'll possibly be the most random hockey fan in town, being from Wales in the UK. Coming over on Friday January 3rd and have tickets for the semi finals, bronze and final. Dragging my girlfriend over to keep me company as hockey fans are pretty hard to come by in these parts! Will be cheering on Team Canada in the obvious absence of a British team. Looking forward to meeting some fellow hockey fans.

I'm jealous. Wish I could join ya, but great choice of a Team to root for! :yo:

I'm planning on coming for at least 3-4 days now as I wasn't able to come back to Canada for Xmas, but if I go I'll be alone, which would suck but oh well. Being a foreign law student coming over here, it was a little expensive for me to come all the way back to Canada for the holidays lol. But a lot cheaper for me to head to the World Jr's so I might as well try and take advantage. Where is everyone staying and any advice for me? Greatly appreciated, and if anyone wants to meet up for drinks or meals or anything, let me know, Cheers!

I'm staying at the Lavilla Guesthouse in Copenhagen. It's about a 30 minute walk (13 minute subway ride) to the airport.

Btw how much is this Oresundstag? I can catch it from the airport right?

We're 4 guys that'll be staying at the Best Western Noble House at Gustaf Adolfs Torg in Malmö. You could join for some beers any night if you want to! We're going down to Malmö on the 29th and home the 3rd.

GÃ¥ = *Gau* phonetically just so you know.

Ã… = AU
Ä = AE
Ö = OE

More correct Swedish would however be:

Go Canada = Heja (ph Hey-ya) Canada

Bahhhh myself and 6 other people will be attending the final (but kinda sitting all over) (mostly girls too ;) )

Anyways we wanted to do CAN vs USA for NYE and semis but ticnet has really effed up its functionality as to when we bought our tickets... you cant even see which individual seats are available right now.

Also the semi tickets is grouped into one package now for two games as opposed to two separate games at separate arenas before.... when did this happen??

We are going to be in Stockholm from dec 27-31 then doing Malmo but Swedish/Danish posters should we try and get tickets now or what?? Or risk it til we get to Malmo??

Though I will concede tickets are running thin the can/USA game is not sold out and I think there are still some tickets left for semis just maybe not lots together

Jonnieboy15, That would be amazing man! I will keep you posted on/when I get tickets; I'm gonna be heading there on the 28th and leaving on the 1st, hitting both the Canada games on the 30th and 31st. Is the Best Western a good spot?

So I know its a little early as this tournament just started but I've finally given in. I wanna make the trip to Malmo for the 2014 tournament. I fully understand how ticket packages work when the tournament is here in Canada but does anyone know when and how ticket packages for next year will be made available? How much they might be (I'm hoping the tickets themselves are cheaper in Europe then when its played in NA)

Me and a buddy may be down to make the trip to Sweden. I've never been to Europe so why not start with Sweden at Christmas

Any info regarding price, trip packages, cost of anything would be greatly appreciated.

Probably cheap tickets, WJC not that big in Sweden. It won't be full arena (12000 capacity) If it going to play in Hyllie Arena. When is this tourney? Real soon right? Tickets at ticket.se i think. for international i don't know.
