I'm nauseous reading all these tweets.

Absolutely hate what I'm seeing.

Confirmed by Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Rangers UFAs all headed to market: Stralman, Pouliot, Moore and Boyle

Damnit. guess nothing ever panned out with D Moore the last few days. Disappointing.

So it appears the 12 off season all over again thinking tweedle dee and dumb can replace the depth were losing.. rinse repeat.. just wondering who is the next guy traded to bring in more depth? Nash? MSL?

I like Dominic Moore as a player. Really do. But, the guy is a mercenary and has been his entire career. Just look at his stats and how often he changes teams.

Stralman was a reclamation project. So was Pouliout. I'm not against anyone going out and getting what they're worth, but it would be nice if these two guys would ask a little less for the sake of the team and for the fact that we got them off the scrap heap and gave them their careers back. Maybe wishful thinking.

Boyle I get. He's a 3rd liner on most teams and an important guy down the stretch. If our cap situation was better, he'd be the guy I'd re-sign.

Nature of the salary cap beast. This team needs offense. Losing Stralman is going to suck (dunno who can fill that gap TBH)... but with Hank in goal, you can have some defensive lapses...as long as you can make up for it with offense.

Pouliot will be missed, as will Moore. Boyle...yea great on the PK and all, but his offensive numbers do not warrant that kind of contract.

This team needs GOAL scorers.

Screw the FA market please, at least the old way over the hill lazy ass signing as Heatley, Boyle, Penner etc.

Rather have all of Allen, Lindberg, Miller and Fast playing opening day. All expect Lindberg have shown they can play in this league, bar Lindberg then obviously. However he's a solid player, have won the Swedish equivalent of Conn Smythe and played really good centering the fourth line on the gold WC team last year. I think he ready.

It's done via Twitter... Spezza to Dallas. Details incoming.

Bruce Garrioch ‏@SunGarrioch
Jason Spezza has been dealt to the Dallas Stars pending a trade call. Involves substantial prospects and avails cash for other trades. #Sens

what leadership are we really losing?

Boyle? Moore?

I feel bad for a team where marginal players are a teams leaders.

I sincerely apologize, the Rangers would have easily made the finals with Fast, Miller, and Diaz as regulars. You're so right losing Boyle and Moore won't hurt one bit.

I wonder how the locker room will feel about this.

They cut Richards to be able to resign their core players that were hitting the market. Now ALL of them are leaving.

As good or as bad as Richards was, cutting him was sold to the players (in particular) under the premise that this was a business and in order to keep everyone together they needed to get rid of him.

Now, they cut Richards and have let every FA they possibly could, walk.

They could even resign just half of them, like Stramlan and Boyle and letting D. Moore and Poo walk.

:shakehead

What about guys like Peter Mueller (maybe as a tryout invite to see if he's healthy), Loktionov, Setoguchi, Meszaros, Regin, Leino (don't crucify me),

Richards was cut because if the cap recapture penalty. If his contract had been grandfathered in he'd still be here.

My friend from the Avalanche called Spezza to the Stars about a week ago.

Educated guess, not an informed source or anything.

FWIW, he doesn't think Colorado gives up ROR. :(

Don't disagree on Moore, and don't think any one of these players is irreplaceable, but the entire fourth line may be gone. It took a few years to really get it right. And it's not your ordinary third line. They play 13 minutes a game...in the playoffs...against top lines...and they helped shut them down. Now they may need to find real mercenaries, who may have never played before, to fill that. For me, I don't mind line changes, but I look at the lines as pairs of two sometimes. Losing one, no biggie. Losing too. Oy. Losing three. Jeez! Then you may lose a second pair defenseman. Defensive defenseman. Who went against top lines very often. The unit of five was effective. Now you have a unit of one and the entire gameplan for AV changes since everything changes. Poo is the least of the worries out there, but his production needs to be replaced. Richards' also will need to be replaced. May all this will be answered by mid-September and social media is driving us nuts because we want answers today, but if the "fourth" line is totally gone, then next year's gameplan may change and perhaps they will be better off going top heavy and gaining offense because it may be their best bet.

As mentioned in Newsday, NYR will rebuild fourth line with FAs, prospects

More details slowly. Nothing groundbreaking. Lindberg and Fast's big chance?
