Poo - gone
Boyle - gone
Stralman - gone
Moore - gone

these are the guys that will be the casualties for offensive improvement at the forward position.

We are going to have Miller, Fast, Lindberg and Allen on the team next season.

You may very well be right, but I just can't see this team inserting 4 rookies into the lineup. I see Miller as almost a lock. The rest, I expect to see some action, but not a full season with the team. Unless they blow everyone away at camp, I think Fast, Lindberg, and Allen are far from certainties.

I think Boyle and Stralman are gone. Pouliot and Moore, however, I think really depends on the market. If both can be had at a reasonable price, I would think it's management's preference to bring them back. Who knows with Sather, though. I just really hope he doesn't throw a blank check at Stastny, or any check at Dan Boyle. If we make it through the day without any major UFA blunders, I'll count us lucky.

I'd likr to see Moore retained and even Pouliout, but he's definitely replaceable.

I'd like to see them all retained. They're all replaceable. And therein lies the problem. In a vacuum, they're all replaceable. Collectively, I'm not so sure.

Dreading noon today

I want moore to stay but not for 3 years which e wants. Pouliot is more replaceable IMO. Yes he ad a bounce back year ut it wasnt spectacular y any stretch. I actually think zucc and brass were the main contributors on that line. We can find someone else to plug in there for cheap

I feel as though the front office has an idea what each rfa will take to get signed, but are waiting to make a splash today and then take care of our own afterwards. Its a scary thought, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a very different team next season.

I think Sather may have to go bargain bin shopping and take on some one-year reclamation projects at a low and reasonable cap hit to fill out some of the depth. We just have to hope that they are more of the Pouliot/Fedotenko variety rather than the Frolov/Halpern/pretty much anyone signed as "depth" in the 2012 offseason.

Slats always got a pecking order. He'll try to settle the No 4 D spot first, than Poo, then he will look at the rest. Somewhere inbetween will the RFAs come.

Don't mind Moore for 3 years at good $.

I dont want that much change....

Once Sather gets his targets well see how things shape out

I do find it funny that Sather plays hardball with RFA but when it comes to UFA especially aging ones(Richards, Drury,Gomez) he will offer them anything lol

I'd be surprised if Moore goes they seem close. Also it gives depth at C. Assuming miller is full time

I'm fine with Sather hardballing our RFAs. The team has the hammer in RFA, with the tide turning in the player's favor as they approach arbitration eligibility, UFA, etc.

UFAs go to the highest bidder. He just picks the wrong players to outbid everyone on.

Here is my guess as to what happens:

Rangers sign:
Penner - 1 year @ 2 million
D. Moore - 3 years @ 1.75 million
Ehrhoff - 5 years @ 5 million
Carter - 2 years @ 950k
Gibbons - 1 year @ 900k

Bargain bin shopping

Let me just state that Sather LOVES players who play well against the Rangers. Ryan Carter. Brian Gibbons. Both have played very well against the Rangers

I would be very happy with all of this all things considered.

I think most GMs would do that. You have leverage, and time, to deal with RFAs. You do own their rights. You don't with UFAs.

Maybe those are the only games he catches. He's a busy guy.

Works out too. I may have undersold some of the RFAs, but there's ~2mil in cap space still, should be enough. Have Zucc so low because he said he'd take less money for more term.

EDIT: Lol, I think I missed changing Moore, but I don't think he gets much over 1.5m.

Is there any talk of going after Moulson?

Also, everyone seems sold on JT Miller as a second line center this year?
