That doesn't mean that Boyle couldn't help the Rangers PP.

It doesn't necessarily mean so, but I have a hard time believing that Boyle would improve here considering his supporting cast on the PP in San Jose is...more than adequate.

Sure he could help out, but he probably won't "run" the PP or anything. I don't think that's worth a $5M cap hit, especially when there's a very real possibility that his numbers and play continue to decline.

I'll be seriously pissed if we don't resign Pouliot. He's one of the few guys we have that can hit and he fits the system to a T. Give him the 3X3 FFS. That line was unreal all year. Guarantee we let him walk and he goes to PIT and lights us up 4x a year. He's tradeable too. If he's sucking or we need to clear his contract trade him for a 2nd/prospect. If Dorsett could get a 3rd, Pouliot can easily bring in a low 2nd

This is where Gorton and crew advise sather on what the best bargains will be. They will have to sign more Pouliot's and Dom Moore's. They are out there imo.

Right but neither Pouliot or Moore is an answer on the top six where another center is desperately needed. You don't get those in FA without drastically overpaying.

I don't want to see him come to NY with a $5M cap hit, either.

The Sharks PP produced shots on goal at a higher rate with Boyle on the ice in 2013-14 than in the previous two seasons. Shots didn't go in, however.

Just for the record, Expressen confirms the Zucc report in the closed thread to be incorrect.

anyone else notice that both Brian and Dan Boyle both were #22...

crazy stuff, I tell ya! We won't even need to make new jerseys!

I know a girl who dabbles in witchcraft and if we don't bring back Dom Moore, Sather is gonna have a problem.

And the article still gets it wrong, now claiming he has one year remaining.:help:

How about you do your own fact checking before publishing a (poorly) translated article?

(Edit: Now corrected)

Hehe, how typical Slats would it be if we traded for Spezza and signed Heatly reuniting the two, while also picking up Lecavalier from Philly to play with MSL? Throw in D Boyle into the mix too... ;)

This. Is. Not. Funny.

Getting chest pain just thinking about it.

Just for the record II, I am not that worried about loosing BR, Poo and Strålman. Boyle neither really. The PP worries me a bit and the 4th line too.

We are a 4 line team. This is where we stand (I am basing this on last years lineup):

-The 1st + 1st D pairing is intact. Will of course work as well as last year. Better with more chemistry.

-I believe Zucc and Brass will make the 2nd line work without Poo. Even be better than last year because I think Zucc and Brass will build on what they did last season, despite loosing Poo.

Staal-Strålman didn't contribute one bit offensively last season, whomever replaces Stralman will score more than 1 goal and 12 pts.

-Our 3rd don't have a major role 5 on 5. But MSL will be more comfortable in NY. Miller is a good player, he was one of our better players 5 on 5 during the regular season when he got a shot. He can build on that. Hags is getting better and better.

-Our 4th worries me a bit, we have had a bit of a trial and error under Slats with the 4th. Hollweg-Betts-Orts was real valuble too, we failed to replace them. And so forth. Can we keep Dom Moore? He was real valuble for us.

-The PP worries me a bit too.

Give many kids a shot to play, our farm is not good at all, but the guys just in line to play are good. Its the kids behind them that sucks. The kids that play will do so in a working environment and gain value real fast. We can add the qualities we lack during the year or next summer.

There will be a reclamation project, a "Whaaaat?!" signing and a whole lot of Wolfpack heavy lineups being bandied about for the rest of the summer.

Cigarface is already in Banff, fishing.Every announcement is taped and or delegated to a flunkie.

Poo - gone
Boyle - gone
Stralman - gone
Moore - gone

these are the guys that will be the casualties for offensive improvement at the forward position.

We are going to have Miller, Fast, Lindberg and Allen on the team next season.

Then why don't we have more right-handed offensive players?

Most players play opposite. Right handed players play left handed, left handed players play right handed. This puts the dominant hand on top for greater control. That's why you see so many lefties compared to righties.

If we're making improvements at the forward position then there won't be spots for Miller, Fast, and Lindberg.

I would have absolutely ZERO problem with this. Let's give them a chance and then make adjustments later.

This exactly. Sather will obtain a center. I would prefer:
ROR; Stasnty, then Spezza. I always liked the latter but his back concerns me.

Someone like a seteguchi or heater can replace Pouliout.

Losing D.Moore is dumb.
