It is a shame that Porky is never coming to LA. Don't know how his game is gonna translate but at least we get a chance to see what he can do.

Paul LaDue scored empty netter and North Dakota wins 5-2 over Michigan to advance to Frozen Four in Tampa.

Spencer Watson has 2 goals and 4 assists so far in 2 games as Kingston is up 2-0 in the series.

Mike Amadio has 2 goals and 1 assist in 2 games as North Bay is tied 1-1 in their series.

Jacob Middleton has 0 points in 2 games as Ottawa is down 2-0 in their series.

Jake Marchment has 3 assists and Erik Cernak has 2 assists as Erie is up 2-0 in their series.

Matt Mistele has 2 goals as Sarnia is down 2-0 in their series.

Damir Sharipzyanov has 0 points as Owen Sound is tied 1-1.

Austin Wagner has 1 goal and 1 assist as Regina is tied 1-1 in their series.

Chaz Reddekopp has 0 points as Victoria is up 2-0 in their series.

I think Watson, Middleton and Marchment will get contracts. What about Mistele? Kinda of a wildcard in my book. Thanks for the update.

Mistele is at best 50/50 to be signed imo. Most teams would not sign him but Kings lack prospect depth so they may sign him. Just an average season for an overager this year, imo. Very few overagers make NHL and none that i know of that were average in overage year.

What is the plan for Cernak next year?

I think he should be in ontario but im gonna guess he is assigned back to Erie.

Cernak should be in the AHL imo. He'll be too strong for the OHL next season, he pretty much manhandles everyone right now.

Skating and stickhandling still needs some work though.

It is going to be an interesting D group in Ontario next year.

With potentially Cernak and LaDue. Gravel if the Kings plan on incubating him further (Which I find unlikely)

Jason, do you hear anything about LaDue not signing with the Kings and going the UFA route?

Spencer Watson has 10 points in 4 playoff games. Quite a year for the kid.

I have not heard anything about this. What I have heard is that they were not altogether pleased with this season from him, much like what happened with Gravel last year.

Personally, I think they take a chance on him since they have already showed some pretty heavy interest in getting him to the pro level last year.

BUT if he goes to free agency I would not be altogether surprised with the defensive depth they have. Still think they sign him though.

He figured in 5 of their 6 goals tonight, impressive. It doesn't hurt playing with Dal Colle, but still.

So on the OHL site he's listed as 5'11". For anyone who has seen him recently, is that a bunch of crap or has he actually grown? Maybe he will go through a late growth spurt like Toffoli, who was kind of small in Juniors. Toffoli always had that physicality to his game though, not sure if Watson has that at all.

15 points in 5 games is crazyland

Amadio with north Bay's OT winner tonight!
