Looks like Alexander Dergachyov is staying in Russia for next season: KHL website lists him at SKA team roster with contract running until 30-th of April, 2016. By the way, his measurements have also been updated and he is now listed at 6'5" and 220 lbs.

That's a big kid.

I'm really really high on him even though he's obviously raw.

Dubious as in he has stayed in the KHL despite having the opportunity to come to the AHL with his contract ending.

Are you sure, that he had the opportunity to come to the AHL this year? I belive that when we drafted him, he had already signed a contract which expires after the 2016 season (contract running until 30-th of April, 2016). Maybye Caser knows/remembers how it was?

Maybye therefore Yannetti said after the draft:

On whether Dergachyov will stay in the KHL or come to North America:

He’s going to stay in the KHL for a minimum of one year. Right now, I would think one year would be the perfect amount of time for him to spend in the KHL, but that’s a little more fluid. It really depends on how much time, what his development is like if we determine he should stay another year or two or come back after that.

If he doesn't sign with Kings after this season, then I'm a lot more worried.

I'm really eager to see him in Helsinki (WJC tournament). And hopefully Sharipzyanov and Cernak too.

I think you're a little confused. I was talking about Prokhorkin's future with the Kings being dubious. Not Dergachyev :)

Not really much has been written about the prospects in the junior levels, though maybe there's not much to write about. Aaaanyway:

KHL:
Dergachyov has 2 goals in 18 games, and has been seeing reduced ice time. He didn't play in the most recent game for SKA, and he played less than 2 minutes the previous game. Overall, he's playing an average of 5:37/game. Very disappointing.

NCAA:
Steven Johnson is tied for the team lead in Minnesota, with 1 assist in 3 games.
Paul LaDue has one assist in 4 games.
Roy has 0 points in 2 games

WHL:
Alec Dillon is 2-2 with a GAA of 3.85 and .878 SV%
Austin Wagner has 5 points (2g, 3a), +3, 21 PIM in 10 games.
Chaz Reddekopp has 4 points (2g, 2a), +2 and 15 PIM in 10 games.

OHL:
Jake Marchment has 9 points (7g, 2a), +1 and 2 PIM in 9 games. I believe he's had a hat trick as well.
Spencer Watson leads the Kingston Frontenacs with 11 points (6g, 5a) in 10 games. He's also a +2 with 2 PIM.
Mike Amadio has 9 points (4g, 5a), +7 and 4 PIM in 9 games. He's had a hat trick as well.
Matt Mistele has 8 points (2g, 6a), -8, and 8 PIM in 11 games.
Jacob Middleton has 5 points (1g, 4a), -3, and 12 PIM in 10 games.
Matt Schmalz has 5 points (1g, 4a), -12, and 8 PIM in 10 games.

Alexander Dergachyov and Damir Sharipzyanov are named in the U20 Russia NT roster for the Super Series.

As statswatcher so far. Is it safe to say that the whole 2015 draft has sucked so far ?

Cernak failed to report and isnt playing. Dergachyov plays 3 minutes a game.
Austin Wagner the new Konstantin Koltsov. Matt Schmalz, meh. Reddekop, Roy cant expect much from.

So far, it hasn't looked too impressive. But so far is only in October.

They should drift away from the character ******** and compete and go for skill. Lewis competes but has hands of stone. Forbort over Tarasenko and Kuznetsov still pisses me off. And many other draft picks. They don't pick bpa contrary to what they say.

This **** happens. I cant remember Kuznetsov was even an option, but Tarasenko certainly was.

I think with Kempe and Zykov the Kings drafted the BPA or close to. Now we have to wait how this turns out.

Cernak over Sprong was kinda weird but probably because Im Dutch, so biased. From what I read Cernak is another Lintuniemi.

With Pearson and Toffoli the Kings drafted skill and hit the jackpot right away, so why dont they stick to this.

The Gibson pick seriously pissed me off. After years of development, we couldnt even get full value for Bernier and than they draft another goalie in the 2nd round.

The year they chose Gibson I was furious. I really wanted Kucherov kept lobbying for it because I couldn't believe he kept sliding. None the less Gibson busts and Kucherov well you know the rest.

Nikolai Prokhorkin has received a call-up to Russia NT, he was named in the extended roster for the Karjala Cup.

Cernak through 4 games no points.

Wouldn't be too concerned about no points. Offensive dman Travis Dermott (2nd rnd TOR) started the season really slow, up to 12 points in 15 games now.

Cernak is an impressive skater for a big man. Very smooth, outlets the puck well. Very strong guy as well.

Just all around a really solid dman. Not flashy, but is very good and taking his man off the puck and moving it up the ice. He does jump in the play when the opportunity presents itself. As he has adjusted to the system I have noticed good decisions (couple questionable pinches in the first two games).

Lots of playing time in Erie should be good for his development, fully expect him to be a top 4 dman in Ontario next season.

On a side note, 2014 6th rounder Jake Marchment off to a great start. 17 points in 15 games, 64% on the dot. All around great player and leader for Erie. Could earn a contract if he keeps this up.
