We were right there
Not a single player of Plymouth had a positive +/- that year. The 4th best player had 38 points and they still managed to reach the playoffs.
Odd.
That's...oddly impressive

Steven Johnson has barely played in 1/3 of U of Minnesota's games. Injured or just a numbers game with more experience playing ahead of him?
Kempe (Sweden) and Alex Lintuniemi (Finland) are the only two confirmed Kings prospects who will in the WJC. Anyone know about anyone else that I might have missed?
Kubalik for the Czech Republic is still Kings property, I believe.
Zykov if he's healthy would probably be added onto Russia's
If we do end up losing Voynov it looks like Roland McKeown would be a good replacement. If I remember correctly people had him going 20-30th overall? How we ended up with him is beyond me.

Won't be ready for at least another three years. The kid is 18....He will be playing JR hockey, yet again next season.
Then he has to prove he can play at the AHL level. The days of Kings brass rushing up players to the NHL are dead and over thank god.
Nick Ebert is someone you should watch play next season at the AHL level(will get more minutes next season) for a Slava potential replacement.
I don't think there is a replacement to Voynov in the system right now. Unless Lombardi can pull off a trade the defense right now is what we've got, all that is needs to be settled is who's gonna be the 7th guy on the bench and that's not really a big deal.
Forbort is ready right now! As far as how long it took him, for his size, he had to grow and fill out into his body as much as he also needed for hockey experience. Now, I'd say he's done both. I watch him play at Manchester, and he's playing very well.Forbort is 22, and only in his second year of pro Hockey. Everyone should know NCAA guys are going to take even longer.
Roland McKeown might be ready at 22, but the guy is 18 right now.

This. McKeown was simply a good defensive depth move for the future. Good asset management by DL and company. I hope he pans out, but much to early to tell.
Gatineau needs a game breaker like Zykov to push up the standings since they are underperforming. Zykov is in his last year in junior so B-C gets a lesser player that can still put up numbers while being junior eligible for another year and a decent draft pick to build on.Can someone explain this trade for me. It seems like a step backwards for a contending team to make. Speculation would suggest poor play or locker room issues behind a trade like this
