Speaking of the AHL they're finally expanding out west. The Kings, Ducks, Sharks, Flames, & Oilers will all get their farm teams out there.

going to be a sad day for me. Been going to the games in Manchester since day 1. Saw a ton of talent come thru and players turn into NHL talent. many of them stars.
I know I am a Flyer fan first but it is still going to be a sad day when the last game is played.

I was very surprised to hear this. I've worked for an ECHL team and nearly worked for Manchester (I recall discussing it with you GFH) and it's hard to believe a switch can be flipped like that. I think it's a bigger deal than the news is making of it.

Hopefully Ontario can do well enough attendance-wise to make this a strong transition, and hopefully Manchester fans stand by their team in the wake of this drastic change.

they are going to have to drop their ticket prices. I am still holding out hope that they can get another AHL team in Manchester. Yeah I know its a business. It still sucks. Pretty ****** that they continued to raise ticket prices when they likely knew they were leaving town sooner rather than later. sucks for the STH more than myself. Due to my work schedule I haven't been to as many games as I would of liked.

He's been crushing them tonight. Too bad his teammates don't want to get in front of the net either.

I just wish he would shoot more sometimes.

He looks to pass first, second, and third. The WHL doesn't track individual shots, but I would be surprised if he had 100 on the year. Yeah he doesn't have a bomb, but his wrister is pretty solid and accurate. Coach has also put the shackles on him jumping up in the rush. He hasn't scored in two months.

It does seem very deliberate that by putting Sanheim with Bean his role has changed. He has to do a little babysitting and be more prudent at staying home.

Ultimately, I think that's a very good thing for Sanheim.

There's no question his offensive skills, especially on the rush, are great. This forces him to shore up his defensive game and especially his awareness to watch out for Bean, as well as allowing him to take a leadership role in the defensive corps.

However, last night, when he was on the ice with Thomas or Morrison, he'd jump up in the rush. Reminds me of watching TJ Brodie - he can be part of a 4-man rush but has the skating and awareness to be the first guy back. With a solid defensive defenceman, Sanheim could be a real 2-way threat.

He's also the "extra" alternate captain - if Helgesen or any of the primary alternates misses a game, an A shows up on Sanheim's shoulder.

No points for Morin today...game over....was +1 in a 4-3 game.

Sanheim with 1point with 10 minutes left in the game. None for Fazleev.

Wasn't Sanheim's best game, but the assist was a beauty. Basically put it in the net for Draude. Calgary is steamrolling teams right now. They are off for a week.

Morin was matched up against Anthony Beauvillier all game and pretty much shut him down. He's an absolute rock in the defensive zone and in one-on-one situations.

Aube Kubel with 1+2 tonight. He has 25+28 on the season.

Hunted the defenseman who lost the puck so NAK could go in on a partial breakaway from the offensive blueline and snipe it over the goalies blocker. The two assists where feeds to the point on the PP.
