Childish clown. Yes, that's what I am. Questioning the Lou the magnificent makes me a clown. :shakehead I made Lou draft Matteau and not take the cap circumvention penalty at #29. I made Lou hold onto Clarkson and the many other FAs that walked away for NOTHING. I'm the one telling him to spend into oblivion when Vanderbeek is up to his eyeballs in arena debt. Where is my clown car so I can drive away?

sounds like Tundra thinks he is a better GM than Lou. submit your application bro, save the team ;)

No, your a clown because you are making statements here that you can't even backup. You say u don't want Brunner but you obviously have never watched him play .

That remains to be seen. If you threw Tedenby on a line with Datsyuk and Zetterberg, I can assume he would be somewhat productive. Like I said, this is a panic move. It's not like this is Milan Lucic, a player the devils do not have in their organization.

This is just absurd analysis, especially that last sentence.

We have two good, mobile goalies in our organization. So does that make the Schneider deal a "panic move"?

If the Devils won the Stanley Cup in 5 games, instead of celebrating, Tundra would be worried about next season because they didn't sweep.

Schneider isn't a panic move because of the 40 year old tandem and the fact that Wedgewood is at least 2 years away. This Brunner move is a panic move because to my knowledge the devils weren't overly interested until Kovalchuk left. Now they're scrambling for any warm body.

I haven't seen Brunner....so I'm only going on what I've read.

Sounds to me like he could work exactly the same way Peter Sykora did for us two years ago.

ok, so Kovy leaves. we need someone to fill a gap. who is a skilled RW with experience in a mens league (albeit the NLA) who can at least help out towards replacing Kovy....

what are we supposed to do... open up the black book of secret UFAs that are proven 60 point players who will play for 1M a year?

Great if we were paying him Peter Sykora money.

I hope Brunner's agent asks for 5 years at 3.5 million. Who has the most leverage given the situation over the last 4 days?

So the Devils are looking to acquire another forward because their best one just left, and that's a bad thing. Also Lou knew this was coming, so it's not like he's "all of a sudden" trying to sign someone new... All this Brunner talk has just been speculation on our parts and the part of the media. Calling this move a "panic move" is baseless unless you can say for certain when Lou decided pursuing Brunner was a good idea.

Wedgewood is 2 years away, so you say... Yet you cited a slowly-developing Tedenby and a questionable Gavrus in the same sentence with Brunner.

This is just so circular, I don't even...
