2013 Free Agency & Offseason Thread II

Nope. Dan Cloutier made it to the NHL for a number of years. Richard Cloutier is a blogger in a basement a few hours outside of Edmonton. Dan failed at the highest level. Richard fails at the lowest one.

Put no weight behind any of his "rumours"

It's here.

If I remember, this Richard Cloutier guy was as bad of a source as Dan Cloutier was a goalie, especially during Frasergate

I love this part

Rumors don't come out of the kings org. We maybe hear about things 30 seconds before they happen but never a rumor it is going to happen. See Richards (rumors out of Philly), Carter (CBJ writer Aaron Portzline broke it), Williams ( a random blogger found out and Dean had to lie about it)....

I thought rumours from Hockeybuzz weren't allowed to be posted on this site since it has the least amount of credibility on the entire internet? I sure hope this site doesn't become the next Hockeybuzz now. Richard Cloutier rumors? Wow. :help:

I don't see why Clifford has to go...trade Martinez and Nolan for picks.

Cloutier is not a source for Oilers info. There are better sources here at HF than him IMO.

After reading Lombardi's comments I think the odd man out is King.

Frattin, Clifford and Carcillo bring more to the table than King. You can rotate them on lines 2 thru 4. They are each contributing even if they are not scoring. King, he has all the potential but too much of a gentle giant.

they are allowed, but only for comedic purposes. much like M Barry's rumors

Zdenek Janda @zdenek_janda

Jagr and NJ Devils? My sources say: Yes, it will become a reality pretty soon... #jagr follow isport.cz

Jagr and Devils: The deal could be finalized and announced within hours... My guess: no later than tomorrow. follow isport.cz #jagr

So I wonder how much Lou will overpay?

3-3.5m is my guess. I think this is a really good price for 50 points (+ his influence on youngsters) and they can always trade him at deadline. Worked out fine for Dallas.

Real_ESPNLeBrun: OK 30-sec break from vacation. Jaromir Jagr has agreed to one-year deal with Devils. Likely won't be officially announced until Tuesday...

and I think the Oilers overpaid for Gagner...

Simon Gagne signed with the Oil?! :sarcasm:

Kidding. But yeah Gagner is on a healthy contract. I really don't see a huge problem with it. He's a fine #2 center but his game is soft. He's a better fit in the east where it's more skill and less physical.

And Devils officially get Jagr. So he's played for the Rangers, Pens, Flyers, and now Devils. Next year, Islanders.
