Can't stand him either, but it's typical Doan. Joins late, acts like a tough guy, and puts the other player down when they're already in a compromising position.

Or when he gets kneed, acts all injured only to be miraculously healed seconds later, drop his gloves and charges after Muzzin. Oh, and no penalty for instigating or anything else btw. :shakehead

Yup, can't stand him. One of my most hated players. I don't give a **** how nice he is with the media, the guy's a rat. Hopefully Carcillo knocks him out next year.

I'm a fan of Doan. I actually hope he pulls a Bourque with Kings if he can't get it done in Phoenix/Arizona. His act against Muzzin was ridiculous though but his team was shut out 3 games prior to that game, he gave it all on ice with 10+ hits and 10+ shots. Fox hilariously coined "Doan like it" that day as well I think.

My petty hatreds don't cloud my goals though. If the price was right, I'd accept him because he would make the team better. Still hate him though.

Here's a thought, maybe Clifford has an offer sheet on the table? It'd explain why he chose not to go to arbitration (can't sign offer sheet once that process is started iirc) and why the Kings are supposedly looking to move him. You can offer up to 3.3M and only send a 2nd round pick as compensation and teams know the Kings are in a tough spot.

Since there's that rumour about the Oilers being in on Clifford, what would it take to get Greene + Clifford? I'm thinking that could give you guys some much needed cap relief.

Kings already lost Scuderi this summer, Greene is not available.

A scoring line winger under 24 years of age.

No. Greene goes absolutely nowhere. Period.

A scoring line winger under 24 years of age.

For Greene and Clifford?! You're not going to get a quality one for that and we're not opening a hole on D to fill a hole in the least important position (winger). Yes, we need a 2nd line LWer but quality defense is MUCH more important.

I can't see Greene being traded. Means too much to the locker-room.

If someone dared offer sheet us, Lombardi always said he'd strike back at the opposing team and place an offer sheet to one of their guys...

He used to say that back when the Kings were a rebuilding team that had all the cap space in the world to spare. Once you spend to the cap that threat is empty and I know I haven't heard anything like that from Lombardi in years.

Made a thread with it. It's a rumor from what I consider an unreliable guy but our captain signing a long term deal is big news.
