The Mayor's manor put a link from his twitter feed this afternoon to an interview Oct 2012 with Kopi.

This was one of the questions

Q: Who is the toughest defenseman you’ve played against?

A: Robyn Regeher. He just always plays physical. He’s so physical against me. I don’t know if it’s any extra against me, but it’s tough to play against him.

Guess he won't have to worry about that for awhile.

Love it. We need more nasty.

Calgary sucks, and are now in a tougher division.

Edmonton sucks, although Ference was a great pickup.

Winnipeg will get knocked around in the central division.

Vancouver is slowly dropping off.

Montreal is a great team, but they are small and inconsistent.

Ottawa is probably the best canadian team, especially with adding Ryan.

Toronto is overrated and are going to have to trade Franson. They lost Grabovski, Frattin, MacArthur, and added Clarkson which was an awful signing.

None of these teams are contenders, and 3-4 will make playoffs, but probably as 5-8 seeds.

No point of even making the playoffs if your just going to be the 8 seed anyway eh?

Was this a one game suspension??

Post some videos of some cool moments in the 2013 season.

There's nothing to talk about here.

Regehr was lambasted around here a lot in the playoffs...but remember, he was playing with an elbow injury...so bad, that it required surgery. I am hoping he trains hard and will make a better impact this year.

Has nothing to do with whether or not a hit is dirty...
Uh, puck carrier can't see you if he's looking ahead of him = dirty hit. Pretty basic. I'm sure there's a rule in there that states that or something like it.

But it was hard!

Edit:

That's not what determines if it's illegal. It has to be blindsided and the head has to be the principal point of contact. Pretty basic.

I'm pretty sure blindsided alone counts as dirty.

When you have control of the puck, there is an ongoing expectation to be hit. Otherwise players will skate through the ice looking down at the puck and cry for "blindsided hits" every time someone looks at them sideways.

Datsyuk had reasonable expectation to be hit; it came from the side and the head was not targeted. Not dirty. Not illegal.

lets agree to disagree. god i hate the offseason.

You do know that hit was dirty right? Coming in from the side and behind.

Ironic how someone with the name Hitman calling a hit on someone waltzing down the slot 10 feet from the goalie as dirty. If you're in the slot with the puck on your stick, you're getting pasted. End of story.
