It's crazy to think about, but that is actually 8.5% of the way through the season. It seems insignificant but if they lose a couple more, we are talking ~12% of the way through the season. That's a decent chunk.

just because you tank or draft in the top 5, it does not mean you will be a good team.. look at the Panthers. knowing the Rangers luck, if the Rangers did draft top 5 for the next 3 years, they would be like the Florida Panthers

Just drafting or just signing high priced UFA's does not work. Doing both, will increase your chances.

3 of your top 6 forwards are out. Your starting goaltender who has carried the franchise over the past 8 years is possibly out. Tank may be a bit premature but having cause for extreme concern is not.
