Gotta be tough for Powe going down to Hartford. Guy has been an NHL regular for over four seasons now.

Gonna try to pass along any thoughts when they come to Albany

Not Beacon level thoughts, but thoughts

Powe is definitely a top-6 guy at the AHL level.

Sorry to miss this. Didn't mean to ignore. You've done great work keeping us up to date on our AHL team these past few years.

Powe has 34 points in 95 regular season AHL games. His time there was a few years back but it's not like his NHL numbers were very great either. You may be right--but to me that remains to be seen. He hasn't ever shown much of a scoring touch.

Just because he's in the AHL, doesn't mean he becomes a different type of player. He's a 4th-line PK-specialist in the NHL, but he might be the Jere Lehtinen of the AHL.

I wonder. They haven't named a full-time captain since Wade Redden left! I don't know why but sometimes they seem hesitant to. Danny Syvret and Aaron Johnson are two other veterans worth putting in that discussion.

I was a bit curious about the O'Donnell and Dupont PTOs, so I asked Bob Crawford. Apparently, the PTOs they were on were for training camp only. The new PTOs are for the regular season.

Neither has a real contract though; either one of them could be released at any time.

He's lucky in one respect. There are no more re-entry waivers, so he may not be stuck down there all year.

I think they have enough skill guys on the wings to get the job done. Put Kristo on a separate line than Lindberg and they will be good to go.

Maybe go:

Kreider-Lindberg-______
Hrivik-Yogan-Kristo
Mashinter-Haley-Kantor

Lindberg and Kristo are the players who will control the puck and create plays. Doesn't have to be a center who distributes.

Fast will be down to take the 1RW, Miller will be down in 10 games to take 2C, Yogan moves to 3 line and Kantor downto 4 with Bourque/Jean. Powe and Haley are interchangable.

Mark my words, Dupont will re-establish himself. He has had some bad breaks.

When he was traded by the Rangers to Nashville he was expected to get a chance with the Preds for at least a few games. 3 days before Preds camp he tore his achilles. Put him out for more than half of the season. When he finally got back into the line up he wasn't 100% and didnt have an overly great finish to the regular season. When playoffs came around for the Admirals he was bordering 90% healed and started to perform like he was when he was nearing peak with the Pack.

Last season was tough for alot of guys looking for work with the lock out. He took a job over in Italy to guarantee himself a job. The league didnt turn out what he had expected and he is back in NA trying to re establish his name at a not so prime age of 26.

So with a only a short season in the A and a season in Europe in the last 2 years teams are sceptical to sign or give him the chance, but I'd expect him to be hungry to earn his spot.

There might not be room for him on this Pack team but someone out there will probably have use for him once they see him playing again.

Just my opinion

Is Jeff Malcolm still with the Pack, he is a far sight better than Missiain in all aspects except vertical.

That blueline is the best the team has had in a long time.

They sent him to Greenville. He will play there. If Malcolm plays well and The Mission fails, you could definitely see a swap.

Hrivik - Lindberg - Fast
Kreider - Miller - Kristo
Mashinter - Powe - Haley
Kantor/DuPont - Yogan - Bourque

Jean is injured

on paper that's pretty Dandy. Fast is still with Rangers though. O'Donnel on the tam no?

On D:
Conor Allen, Stu Bickel, Tommy Hughes, Aaron Johnson, Dylan McIlrath, Brendon Nash, and Danny Syvret)................rather deep with vets and McNasty and Allen the two youts

Talbot is a real good AHL goalie. Likely could back u for Hank too.

good team
