the problem is that i'm being pulled in too many directions to worry about two ****** hockey teams each trying to actively lose the series.

This may very well be true (I think it is myself), but I also think the winner tonight plays in the Conference Finals because I don't think Pitt wins next round.

Haha

"The Los Angeles Kings became the ninth team in NHL history to rally from down 0-3 in a series and force a seventh and deciding game, topping the San Jose Sharks 4-1 in Monday night's Game 6. (Curiously, they became the second team in four years to do it against the Sharks, who are doing absolutely nothing to kill their reputation as playoff chokers, choking away a 3-0 lead like the chokiest bunch of chokes that ever choked.)"

I'm thinking the Rangers pull this one out at home. I just think they're a flatout better team, and home-ice should go a long way.

Might seem like a longshot to go against the road team in the Avs/Wild series, but I've said Wild in 7 since the start, and I think their experienced players will pull through.

Whenever there's something that looks as obvious as a Kings win, it always seems to go the other way. I think the Kings do pull this one out though. Sharks give it their all but come up just short. That core FINALLY can start being broken up.

3 game 7's in a night for the first time since....2003

Minnesota beat Colorado in....2003

Why is this whole thing reading like a bad omen for the Avs?

I'm taking Philly tonight, partly because I like them alot...but the other part, they've got players with the big game stuff, whereas NYR absolutely does not.

I'd be surprised if the King Swede came up big tonight, but would not be surprised at all if G dropped another 3 pointer.

Can't help but feel bad for the Rangers guys

Who knows what really happened but that one guy that got dragged down over the seat and punched in the face by like four people

pfft, that`s little more than what we used to see at the Forum/Garden for a pre-season matinee game between the B`s and Habs:sarcasm:

but seriously, that`s awful

can`t stand Philly, but a Rangers/Pens series would be even more nauseatingly boring than the Rangers/Flyers

My GF is flying overseas next week and has trouble sleeping on a plane. If Rags/Pens are on the ticket, I'll have to get her a couple games to put on her tablet.

"We're ready for the puck drop, Crosby wins it back . . Dump in on Lundquist . . . and . . . "

Philly burbs
My wife went to grad school in Philly and we lived down there for a year or two.

Never made it to the WF for a game, but my buddy wore his Neely jersey one time when we took him to see all the historic stuff and he got heckled pretty bad.

Pfft. I run that gauntlet every day.

Cheering for the flyers, sheerly for the prospect of having them take out Sid, whom I dislike more than the flyers these days.
